Is Mario finally going to bring in someone who could ******* help with special teams? The punter sucks, coverage sucks, the returners suck, and Miami is losing one of the best kickers to come through this program so we don’t know what we are getting in Murray.

Mario already addressed the QB and defense. Not sure he has any brain capacity left to fix ST. Maybe next season

I guess we were spoiled having Lou for all those years. Joyce might have not shanked punts but there were a lot of short punts. Didn’t make a difference tho because the defense couldn’t stop **** so he could have pinned the other team inside the 10 every punt, the d still would have gave up tds.

Looks like the plan is to kick out of the end zone more with the added kick off specialist. Now, having that plan and Mario adhering to that plan in lieu of the voices in his head to test the toughness of “his” ko coverage unit, is to be determined.

Are we still limited in the number of on-field staff we can have? If so, i believe Hetherman could coach LBs, freeing up a spot for a dedicated ST coach, no?

You can still only have 10 on field coaches who are allowed to recruit off campus. However, analysts are allowed to coach now. Miami does have a ST analyst. Now we could very likely improve by hiring a new ST analyst but I doubt Mario is going to spend 1 of his 10 on field who can recruit off campus coaches on ST. It doesn't make sense since the analyst can coach anyways.

26 times I believe. Joyce’s net average was like 94th in the country. I think I’m being overly critical on him. Lou was great for us all those years so I had high expectations.

I couldn't agree more. Our special teams were embarrassing between them and the Dolphins I don't know who is worse.

Glad someone mentioned the punter. He wasn’t talked about enough because the defense was so bad and the offense was so good. But the guy is average at best and really hope he takes a step next year while the offense likely returns back to earth
