Only problem with Ark.St and So.Ms. is you are picking opponents you expect to have easy win.These
teams can come up to bite you in the a.s though.And you take a bad hit to your reputation.Take easier
scholls like Minn,Wyo.Colo,Ill,Ind.

Southern Miss used to give in state tuition to kids from New Orleans, so it basically is a Louisiana school, at least for recruiting purposes. Selfishly, I'd rather play Tulane since I'm an alum, but USM would be good too.

USM has a nice campus, a good gameday atmosphere, and a nice small stadium. It was crap, but they pumped $$ into it recently. They got Texas, Cal and Nebraska to all go there.

I was at Tulane from 97-01, so the last time I was in Hattiesburg was either '00 or '01. Did the dumb 18-22 year old girls in the Southern part of Mississippi suddenly get ugly?

Southern Miss went 0-12 last year.

May not be an issue with the general population, but the student population has changed and not for the better. BTW I am a Tulane grad as well, but a little before you.

Southern Miss was the Conference USA champ the year prior. Lost their coach and went from champ to 0-12 in one yar. New coach this year.

Southern Miss stadium is 36k. ASU is 31k. Both would be sold out for a Miami game. More importantly I a 2 hours to Jonesboro and 5-6 hours to Southern Miss. I was ****ed when Memphis was dropped.

Miami should stay on the road outside of a couple of marquee games at home. We draw better away, and frankly the games are enjoyable to watch in front of full houses.
