South Florida coaches.....

Oh...so glad you mentioned that 2001 team.
Alot of those players were recruited to UM when our - I mean my - program was several notches below your ufag and f$u programs.
Those players could have done the popular, brain-dead thing, go with the flow, and chosen either one of those schools in addition to
the soup-de-jour programs of that era, instead of a school reeeling with effects of sanctions.
And it's wasn't just with the local soFla kids.
A talented baller like DJ Williams could've gone anywhere in the country, even his childhood fav f$u.
He didn't.
Why?
Because this a special program.
All problems notwithstanding, this school offered at the time, and remains to offer, one of the best combinations
of academics and athletics in the country.
But one has to be a little smart and particularly mature to understand this.

You're probably a brain-washed mope who grew up with, or is surrounded with, redneck and trailerpark
SEC folks so you would never understand.
That or you're a mole.
Either way, you are of no use to this program.
LOL at you calling out this fan-base.

The truth is posted above. The problem is kids are too stupid to realize the above.

I would kill myself if I had to spend more than 30 minutes in Tally let alone attend what they call a school there.

I don't even blame it on the stupidity of these kids.
I pin it on the adults in their lives, or perhaps the lack of adult mentoring and guidance
that these folks fail to provide.

Well the adults are also stupid and most are lost causes. The same crappy coaches keep feeding kids into bad situations. The same parents don't care clearly enough to guide their kids into the best situation available.

Everyone is bad IMO.

a buddy of mine just Email me this story..

unfortunate I have no ideal who's the source

Talk to someone who coaches down in Dade & said he's love's coach Golden & co.
But said he thinks Golden could have a lot more south Fla kids if their HC would just get out of the **** way,he says the coaches in south fla are program groupies and are always trying to send there best talent to who ever is hot at the moment. He says these coaches love getting together and bragging about their players playing in the sec crap but he believes that all about to stop soon....

Here my thoughts:This is nothing new parents, family members ,coaches, live their lives vicariously through their sons. As long as the child stays off the block and get a free education thru athletic ,I applause the adult ..

My opinion may not be popular amongst fellow Canes Fan.

Here is what our Coach Al Golden need to do , just WIN and care about the community..
AND there will come...We on that path....

Of course they are trying to send them to the top programs right now. How does this not make sense? It's been that way forever. It makes perfect sense to me and anybody else you looks at this objectively.

Tell me why they should push their kids to Miami over an Alabama, LSU, Florida, etc etc? Miami is still in turmoil and isn't winning. Other than just being a Cane homer, you can't do it reasonably when it comes down to the football aspect of it.

In case you haven't noticed, Miami isn't one of those programs right now no matter how you spin it.

Are you kidding me? These scumbags are getting paid for steering kids to those other schools, are you that stupid you can't see it? IMO, None of those schools in your post are nearly as good as Miami. Small classes are much better for learning, the other schools are nothing but higher education factories ripping off kids. Imagine steering a kid away from a superior education, these scumbags should be in jail.

Street Agents like Genron187 are part of the problem.

Genron isn't a street agent...trust me

LULZ

I don't get his undying love for coaches down here.

Who knows maybe they won't let him interview "THEIR" kids.

Pete is one of them now.

Exactly. Dont bite the hand that feeds you.

That's why no body who actually sees this **** says anything.

A documentary filmmaker would make an absolute smash hit covering the dirtiness of college recruiting.

i know i sound like a broken record but the kids down here are trendy and so are their coaches, win some games, go to a major bowl game, and these kids will come and the coaches will have nothing bad to say about the university

Recruit more and more out of state Stanford type kids. Become less reliant on a bunch local prima donna pot smokers and their parents. Win games.

HIGH SCHOOLS are paying for kids these days. When you have people like that running your high school football program then of course those same people are gonna take money from Universities.

It's a mess down here.

You are a coach down here. Report what you see.

The worst thing is when people know about **** and say nothing.

Well, for one, we had a coach from a local private school offer us cash money for one of our kids. That's the slimiest thing I've seen thus far.

Won't be hard to figure out what school that is.

It could be a number of the private schools down here. They're all grimey to an extent, some are just worse than others. Some of the public schools are slimey as well. My players get phone calls and texts from coaches at teams in our own district, especially now that we have a new head coach.

This type of stuff got really bad when all these 7-on-7 teams started up. That's when things hit rock bottom. It's open season on those kids.
