South Florida '21- The Safeties

View as article
This is one of the better safety classes in the state in a long time, IMO.

Numerous future pros.

I'd hate to just limit us to two.

Anyone got a number on that James Williams bag though? Need to set a goal on the GoFundMe.

Leader. Unquestioned alpha.
That doesn't equate to wins, if there isn't unquestioned talent behind it. You can easily say that Jaquan was that same type of player. An unquestioned alpha. I rather have A. Williams over Delancey which is what we ended up with. Same goes with dog category. T. Bandy was a dog but was limited physically. Just being an alpha or a dog doesn't automatically equate to success. There has to be physical abilities to go along with it.

I think Derrick Edwards very underrated. I'd take him in a heartbeat. And wouldn't be shocked if he can stay at corner, but safety is a decent fallback plan.

Tavoris Miller also underrated imo...Wouldn't be above Kinchens obviously, but I have no problem taking him if we miss on Kinchens and the Louisiana kids or as safety2...The Maryland kid is interesting too, nice tape. Fast and aggressive

And you clearly haven’t watched Kinchens play. And yes Jaquan, has that same mindset. It’s a trait you definitely want in your safeties.

The original post was about Delancey from last cycle compared to Kichens from this cycle. My reply was about Delancey not Kichens. So clearly you misread my response. Delancey as a prospect is no where near Kichens but it was suggested that the reason for Delancey to have been as must get was because he was an ALPHA. OK he's an ALPHA but his skill level isn't program changing. That being Delancey. Read before attacking please next time.

I wasn’t comparing there talent. I didn’t attack you either. Delancey is known as the leader, the kid others follows. Alpha personality as well as a personable kid. That’s what I was comparing. Hence, Kinchens is the Delancey of this class. Had more to due with both kids being Bulls also. I didn’t bring up on field talent once. I’m very aware of their talent.

Tyson Russell has been a productive starter at Vandy, but we still got the two best prospects in this class. Corey Collier will start at safety for Nebraska this year.

Derrick Edwards, Phillip O'Brien & Jahbari Hill still have potential.
