Starting with the 2017 class, I would go back to each position thread and do a review on each prospect after their 5th year of eligibility. For whatever reason, there was no South Florida '20, so I took it upon myself to find all the 2020 prospects that signed Division 1 letters of intent and review each of them.
QB
Katravis Marsh, Miami Central (6'5" 198) - Signed with USF
Michael Pratt, Deerfield Beach (6'2" 195) - Signed with Tulane
Edwin Rhodes, American Heritage (6'0" 185) - Signed with Tennessee State
RJ Rosales, Immokalee (5'7" 145) - Signed with Army
Kelvin Durham, South Dade (6'0" 180) - Signed with DII Fort Valley State.
Review: Tyler Van Dyke was not a bad pick as our QB for the class, and his career here started out great before things rapidly turned haywire. However, Michael Pratt was a huge miss. One of the best QBs in the country and drafted in the 7th round by Green Bay, currently with Tampa Bay.
Marsh was in line to be USF's starting QB but suffered a career-ending injury. Durham has been a good QB at the D2 level. Rhodes and Rosales didn't do anything.
RB
Jaylan Knighton, Deerfield Beach (5'9" 195) - Signed with Miami, transferred to SMU in 2023
Don Chaney, Belen Jesuit (5'10" 203) - Signed with Miami, transferred to Louisville in 2024
Henry Parrish, Columbus (5'10" 185) - Signed with Ole Miss, transferred to Miami in 2022, transferred back to Ole Miss in 2024
Frank Gore Jr., Killian (5'8" 170) - Signed with Southern Miss
Kejon Owens, Central (5'9" 165) - Signed with FIU
Nate Noel, Miami Northwestern (5'10" 170) - Signed with App State, transferred to Mizzou in 2024
Anton Hall, Gulliver (5'9" 180) - Signed with Navy
Aaron Adams, Suncoast (5'9" 165) - Signed with Army
Brian Brewton, St. Thomas Aquinas (5'7" 167) - Signed with UConn, transferred to Middle Tennessee St in 2024
Amin Hassan, Gulliver (5'6" 165) - Signed with Navy
Review: Frank Jr. was a really, really, really, really bad miss. EMBARRASSINGLY bad.
Beyond that, Chaney and Knighton was a good haul for us at the time. Chaney has had his career decimated by injury, while Knighton had some attitude problems. Both of them are likely training camp bodies barring disastrous testing numbers.
Nate Noel and Henry Parrish are both exceptional backs and 2025 NFL Draft prospects.
Anton Hall has been a productive back in the Navy triple option offense. Kejon Owens is a decent change-of-pace back at FIU. Brian Brewton was the best kick returner in America as a rFr but succumbed to injuries. Aaron Adams didn't do anything.
This was a really good year for running backs.
WR

Deajaun McDougle, Deerfield Beach (5'10" 175) - Signed with Maryland, transferred to Tulane in 2022, entered portal again, attended NAIA Graceland in 2024

Macho Arza, Booker T (6'0" 185) - Signed with East Tennessee State
Trevon Sanders, South Dade (6'0" 160) - Signed with FAMU
Review: WOW! This class was a MEGA BUST, and at the time this was the most loaded receiver class South Florida had seen in years. All of these kids busted except Restrepo, Alford and Henderson.
I was shocked by Douglas Emilien and Bryan Robinson's lack of success. I watched both of them in high school and they were killing Power 5 defensive backs.
In a rare occurrence, Miami signed the best local receiver.
TE
Diego LaMonica, Gulliver (6'4" 225) - Signed with Vandy, entered portal in 2022, attended JUCO in 2023, current status unclea6
Jake Ray, St. Thomas Aquinas (6'4" 245) - Signed with Arizona State
Rivaldo Fairweather, Boyd Anderson (6'5" 210) - Signed with FIU, transferred to Auburn in 2023
Review: Rivaldo was a sleeper with great traits that was brought up on this board in high school. He was miles better than Dominic Mammarelli. The other two did nothing at the next level.
OL

Patrick Barnett, Key West (6'6" 305) - Signed with UCF
Joseph Habinowski, Chaminade Madonna (6'4" 305) - Signed with Ohio
Andre Lamas, Columbus (6'3" 270) - Signed with FAU
Gage Gaynor, Douglas (6'3" 265) - Signed with Colorado State
Bryce McNair, Deerfield Beach (6'3" 275) - Signed with Ohio, transferred to Southern in 2022, transferred to Mercer in 2024
Hunter Zambrano, University School (6'5" 300) - Signed with Illinois State
Kevin Cline, Boca Raton Christian (6'7" 347) - Signed with BC
Review: This group was almost as bad as the receivers! Marlon Martinez, Gerald Mincey and Andre Lamas are serviceable. Bryce McNair, Khris Love and Hunter Zambrano are good offensive linemen at the FCS level. Willie Moise and Kevin Cline were starters but had their careers detailed by injuries. The rest are complete non-factors.
