Al Golden has never a winning career record as a head coach. Meaning his career winning percentage has never been above .500 at any point in his head coaching career.

He lost his first 8 games at Temple and has been behind the 8 ball since.

It stands at 45-45 right now. A win vs UNC would put him above .500 for the first time in his career.

Let's get it done for Coach next Thursday.

What was Larry Coker's win record when he was fired? Similar argument that works both ways...

Guys, I'm not trying to knock Golden AT ALL.

The hand he was dealt at Temple was absouley terrible.

Something I found interesting is that when Golden took over Temple in 2006 the Owls went 1-11 and that one win snapped a 20 game losing streak. By 2009 that same Temple program that was almost scrapped all together went 9-4 and played UCLA in their first bowl game since 1979. Taking the worst football program in D1 football and making it respectable speaks volumes about what kind of head coach Miami got in Al Golden.

And now where is Temple three years removed from Al Golden leaving the program? Sitting at 0-5? Haven't won a game this year? What happened?

You're missing the point.

It's not to bash or praise Golden. It's to point out that this upcoming game has some added meaning for him.

That's all.

Golden is never dealt a bad hand because he's a winner. He makes chicken salad out of chicken ****. Will never question any aspect of the Miami program while he's HC at Miami.
