Something has to change. What is it?

Pack was at his absolute best when he could play as an off-ball Guard in the backcourt with Wong.

He's never really been a true Floor General type going back to his K State days. He's an undersized sharpshooter who can't really create his own shot off the dribble, but it also purely a rhythm shooter.

Swartz, Bethea, McCray & Divine should probably be getting a lot more PT in small ball lineups.

But overall, I think the biggest issue we have aside from Defense, is an inability to score. We're not getting consistent easy buckets & nobody has really stepped up as a shot creator that can make things happen when the Offense breaks down & everything gets defended.

Pack was given an NIL deal and committed to Miami with the promise of us developing him as a PG. It’s clear the experiment has not worked unless we are playing total cupcakes.

For both the program’s best interests and Pack’s own, we need to move him back to the 2 guard spot and let him do what he does best - play off the ball and bomb 3’s. There are other options at PG who make more sense - namely Divine. Let him penetrate and distribute, kick out to open shooters, and that would collapse the paint for Kidd.

I don’t think this would solve all of our problems, but it’s certainly worth trying out.

This is it in a nutshell.

Coach L’s teams can give up 70 because usually they can outscore teams. The defense is not good, but it looks even worse because we aren’t scoring at the rate we did 3 and 2 seasons ago. And with a lot of different lineups over those years. But in the best years, UM under Coach L has always had a pretty dominant PG. Teams need some easy shots. It’s hard to score 75-80 points on all contested shots.

Crazy to see how a year can change some people’s tune. Wasn’t this the same guy lauding Coach L last year?

Some of this is on the coaches but a lot of it I put on the players. Just doesn’t seem like guys are buying in. Some look confused. Some look disinterested. Team has got to buckle down and get the job done. No other way around it. GO CANES!!!

Quick someone make a short list of who we should go after.

Ain't no way Larranaga is back next year.

From what I understand, Miami won't push Coach L out. IF Coach L were to leave it'd 100% be his decision to make.

Let's hope he's able to turn this thing around. GO CANES!!!

Two years in a row with a totally different roster, it's on the coaches.
No hiding that.... earlier we move on, the better

Calling for Coach L's head right now is a bit premature. Guys, we're 7 games in. Atrocious start, but lots of basketball still to be played. Remember it's not the start that counts, it's the finish. Don't believe me? Just look at our football team.

This didn't start this season... This is a continuation of the last. It is time to find someone else.
