Something Going on at UL

unless and until they get guys like Ray Ray and Sanker, i'm here for UL crushing it in recruiting. The ACC will never be the SEC, but we need way more perenial top 25 programs, and some perenial top 10 programs, to close the gap. that should be Clemson, Miami, VIlle, FSU, UNC and perhaps Pitt/NC State.

Any time a non traditional power (ie: SEC, OSU or ND) can get away with buying guys, I can't say I hate it. Now, keep tf away from Ray Ray.

It's good for us in the long run if the ACC has more serious football programs.

I don't care about the long run right now. My focus is adding Ray Ray to this class and ensuring he makes it to Legends weekend. @bradtejeda also with the troubling comment that he feels good about getting Ray Ray if it gets to the weekend uncomitted.

Why is Louisville all of a sudden awash in money? Alabama was able to go in there and lure Harrell out with NIL money (and maybe some bags, who knows) relatively easily. Did the Harrell situation wake up the boosters?

Scott Satterfield is 10-14 in his last two seasons.

This is not a talented team with a ton of depth.
Louisville had the 35th ranked class last year (54th ranked HS recruiting class, 14th ranked transfer class).
In 2021, Louisville had the 41st ranked class (40th ranked HS recruiting class, 22nd ranked transfer class).
In 2020, they were in the 40s again.

Their win total currently sits at 5.5.
They do have a pretty soft schedule but they play no defense whatsoever. I can see them beating Syracuse, USF, and James Madison. The rest are honestly toss ups. They face a ton of good offenses/QBs and will be in a bunch of shootouts. 6 wins won't keep the class together. 7 wins probably won't keep the class together.

They'll need 8+ and I just don't see that happening.

You should. The ACC is falling further and further behind the other P5 conferences in terms of television contracts. We're already competing with one hand behind our back against the SEC and BIG10. If the ACC keeps struggling to produce marquee matchups, that money isn't ever going to get any better. Especially with Clemson looking like they're going to fall off.

Satterfield was on Blu's HS Recruiting Show on QAM last night. I don't think that was a coincidence. He's likely coming after more SFL kids or maybe trying to close on RayRay. Something definitely has changed and recently. I don't think he's ever been on local radio before.

Louisville is a solid town with real NIL opportunities. Use those recruits in PJ, KFC, Slugger, etc commercials and advertisements. Gotta say though, their campus is nothing to write home about, but solid looking females abound.
