Some Updates from practice 8-14

I wonder how all these young corners are going to shake out over the course of their careers.... they all seem to have a ton of promise but only a few spots to go 'round.

Good problem to have. But as we've seen in the ACC, we will need all the corners we can get. If one gets behind at corner, maybe they'll see what he's got at safety. I really think we signed a kick *** group of corners in this past class though. We already know what we got with Tracy, but hopefully another one of them can get close to his level and we can have a situation like we had with Rumph and Buchanon. Would be nice.

well your going to need about 3-4 to play at all times...make away trips etc....

also we should redshirt 2-3 just to space them out.

In my opinion also if we get Artie Burns as a cb..he will jump some of our current cb recruits also...that kid can play....and i size ready right now as a sr in high school.

IMO ...i'll redshirt Vernon Davis if i have to....Dortch is a definite. Crawford maybe playing his way on the field as a freshman/special teams/rotation etc. I dont think Hope shirts unless he gets injured/

Amazing "problem" to have. I think you'll see that we only need to recruit elite guys over the next couple years ('13 and '14). We still need about 2 solid Safeties, especially if Burns plays Corner here. Really, really like the long-term direction of the defense.

Totally agree, we may take some lumps this year, but the talent is getting back to where it should be.

Sure sounds that way, which would be a nice surprise.

I liked Perry when he signed, then he disappeared. looks like he's trying to rise from the dead. dude has a good physical skill set to work with

Last news I read, he was sharing time at safety with Deon Bush... I hope the loser of that battle (for back up safety) redshirts, but we'll see
