They want his pay, They can go be a GA somewhere and work their way up to HC over 10-20 years
Sounds like a lot of crying and complaining, trying to pin this on Mario when there’s concrete proof the funds for his contract came from boosters and not from slashed pay from academic employees.
Ill stay out of X’s and O’s When it comes to proper compensations, but to blame Mario…that’s petty and smells like Epstein.
Besides, when’s the last time Sandra Kelly from Psych 101 generated significant revenue for the university?
I did some independent contract work many years ago. I was amazed at how few students were in some classes and professors who taught one class were making quarter of a million. If the professor brought in grant and research monies, some periods they had no classes what so ever. Not that this was the norm, I am justi work in higher ed (admin) and have previously worked for um. most career academics are very good at what they do, and outside of that it's a completely mixed bag, including comprehension of how a successful football program affects enrollment. um has a lot of incredibly stupid, and overpaid, faculty members.
I swear!!! If I knew coaching was going to pay so well, I would have switched my major. Don't hate the playa', and don't even hate the game. They chose the wrong profession like the rest of us. Cry me a river.
Thanks, TerragonSix.
They think that way because they're all employees of the school and get a check from the school. They should know or someone should tell them that the coach is paid by the boosters. Perhaps the professors should be a little more entrepreneurial and get some big boosters for their programs. They could get big research money from tech, bio, and healthcare companies, then demand higher salaries.Every single school that is paying a football coach millions of dollars has employees that don’t think it’s fair. Whatevs…
I don't see it as them.trying to pin it on him. I think some have an issue with him the school is using money amd maybe an overall issue of college athletics spending. I don't see the issue with the article. People are entitled to view it as a waste. Not everyone cares or loves college football as much as most of us do.

Faculty is upset. Oh, no. Ok. Well Fug them. Fug them all.
They're overpaid as it is!!! Plus they had 20 years of underpaying football. We're just trying to catch up.
