Some thoughts from the Under Armour Camp

I would love Holmes, but he is on record saying he would prefer to leave the state for college. Would love to landhim, but not getting my hopes up. But of course, if we win big, lots of things change!

I've been a big fan of Corey Holmes since my friend sent me his highlights on facebook. Kid looks smooth. I want him as one of our WRs in the class.

Lammons is a huge must.

Oh and Golden just get's it!

I've been a big Holmes fan since the last UA combine. Him and Rudolph are both beasts though they don't have the noteriety yet like Lane and some others. Would like them both but I don't feel too confident with either unfortunately.
I think Holmes ends up at Michigan or Notre Dame

Yeah these STA guys don't mess around too often and he seems like he's going to head away for school. He's not an elite talent like Lane but I think he's going to make a real nice receiver somewhere. So often these high school kids that just know how to get open can be instant impact guys.

Maybe the fact that Wilson is a big safety but thinks he is a corner is part of the purported disconnect with him and the staff?

I think the disconnect is very simple...Golden has not recruited 1 safety who isn't an unusually fast and athletic kid. Bush, Burns, Carter and Jenkins are all long, rangy, fast defensive backs who will put on 20-30lbs and grow into true safeties. I would be concerned with a kid who is already big (...not much more room to grow) and looks slow.

His 40 time is right there with those guys. Faster than Jenkins, comparable to Bush, per Rivals. And almost every other major program in the country that recruits south florida seems to be all over him.

FWIW, I think Rudolph is a fine wide receiver, I just don't think he's got that sky high ceiling. I think he's more of a Frankie Hammond or Greg Dent type...not from a skill set perspective, just a good, depth receiver, but not a kid that'll is big time, but he'll make some plays over his career.

I lime rudolph as a wr. I think he can be really good. But whatever. This horse is out of the barn.

Yeah, seems the ship has sailed. When you say you don't trust the coaches of the team you committed to, I would say there isn't much coming back.

I hope Quincy has an epiphany and realizes that he is NOT a corner but that his future is at safety (maybe LB?).

He would have to change his name to "toast" if he played corner at a top 40 program.

Quincy is very good at pass interference, I´ll give him that. The reports that he was doing outstanding (Rivals.com) didn´t take into account that there aren´t any refs for these drills.

Yeah you cant just throw a WR 15 yds downfield. The first two plays in that video were not impressive, the rest was though.

I think Rudolph can be much better than Hammon. Rudolph's head is about to get even bigger since he just got an offer from Bama

He got an offer from Bama??? Thats that. Moving along. This kid is headed to the SEC...Anyway, Wilson will be one of those kids either we will be kicking ourselves over or there will be a huge sigh of relief. But if he has the same speed as Bush like EthnicSands said then this is a head scratcher. But whatever.

Don't really care about Wilson if he's adamant about being a corner, I just worry about him influencing his SFE buddies.

i can remember a dude named tracy howard saying that he didnt want to stay home Golden stays on holmes. QW cant play man to man at the cb position so even if we did get him as a corner he wouldnt play

Let's see if he really wanted to play only WR, impossible he doesn't end up at CB if he goes to Bama.

Holmes is a little bit of a different situation, dont bank on him staying home. He's gonna go to a good academic school out of state, Michigan, Notre Dame, etc

+1, I would want him and Johnson at safety though

Agreed, and he is a better prospect than Dent. When he first committed to us, his highlights were nice but it was more potential. His junior highlights were awesome and showed a huge jump in physical maturation. Scouts said when we first landed him that he would be an elite recruit by the time he graduated and he seems to be on that path.
