The one common denominator to last year is that Pack is the PG. It's time to take the ball out of his hands because he's killing you at both court ends. As the PG is he not putting enough pressure on the other team's D. He's hurt and can't take his man off the dribble to create for others. On the defensive end, he can't guard the other team's PG, forcing the entire team to help and create open opportunities for the other team. L should play him as a scorer off the bench in limited minutes.
Divine, Swartz, Staton-McCray, Johnson, and Kidd should be in the starting lineup.
I'd be interested to see what the team looks like if you put the ball in Bethea's hands like he played in HS. Could he be the 2nd PG on this team instead of Pack or Blackmon? IMO, Pack, Blackmon, and Swartz are shooters. You bring these guys off the bench to shoot threes and get points. Staton-McCray and Cleveland are more glue guys or utility guys. You need these dudes to get into passing lanes and create pressure on the other team. Then just use Djobet and Johnson-Arigu for frontcourt depth.
And just forget about playing Pack and Blackmon together. Neither of them can stay in front of someone and other teams are exploiting them for easy buckets every time they are on the court.
