I’m just comparing resumes, man. Simple as that. Few dudes have that “it” factor on the trail. I’m not saying those other guys can’t become beasts at UM, but they are still green in many respects.

Mason is one of the few coaches who could go head-to-head with T-Rob and Raymond. He has a proven track record and he’s not afraid to do whatever it takes to land recruits.

Yeah Mason would solve every potential problem we might have encountered with TRob leaving. Pair Mason with another DB coach and we won’t even remember TRob’s short tenure here.

Mason + Chance and Mason + Rahim would be awesome. Etheridge would be the best of the 3 but doubt he leaves his alma mater.

None of the last three DB coaches have gone on to be HC's - at least not yet. Not since Mel Tucker in 2015, and he was a DC and DB coach in the NFL before his 1-year stint in KKKland. Before that, Kirby had DBs but he was also the DC

Now if T-Rob wants a path to the NFL, sure, fine - there's plenty of evidence there. But not a HC; he's wrong in that department.

Wth does Mel Tucker being a Dc at Chicago one year have to do with Bama? Tucker was the DB coach at Bama. Just like T Rob is now more than likely , with maybe a co dc title or ahc title. He was also a dc at a sec program. Bama has the magic sauce at getting you head gigs and if that's what you want the decision makes sense. Anyone that knows him knows that's his ultimate goal. Regardless if you think that's possible. You're telling another grown man he's wrong with making a decision for his career.

Tbh I don't even know what we're debating lol. Will he get a big HC job one day? Likely not but you're crazy if you don't think he could get a head job somewhere down the road. A lot stranger hirings at HC than him has happened.

If you say no to Corey Raymond, you should have your ******* head examined. But if you say no to him because you have T-Rob and he bounces on you 2 weeks later, you got played the **** out. Major fail on Mario's part. For the record, there isn't a single person on the planet more excited for the Mario hire than me. You literally cannot be. But we gotta keep it a buck and this is an F- for Mario. A complete and utter failure in every sense.
