Trob isn’t leaving. If I’m wrong, it’s only because he doesn’t know he’s leaving too. I’m not wrong. It’s click bait.
I want to believe I need to believe I have to believe. Need more TROB not less or no TROB.

I think what's happening here is pretty straightforward.

In general, Mario takes a ****load of time interviewing and vetting candidates. That we know.

Here's the speculative part, which I think is true: Mario is basically done vetting and interviewing candidates for the coordinator positions. He's got a list of guys on both sides of the ball and he probably has them ranked in order of preference. He's now making offers.

On offense, Candle turned us down. So he's moving onto the next guy on his list. He'll offer the next guy on the list, and it'll take a few days to negotiate a contract. And the cycle will repeat until someone on his list accepts an offer.

Same process on defense. Offer. If someone turns us down, move down the list. Although there's less clarity here, he could still be in the interviewing/vetting phase.

So I'm hoping we'll know our coordinators by the end of this week/this weekend/early next week. If it takes longer than that, it means he's still vetting and interviewing candidates or he has to vet/interview more guys because the folks on his list turned us down.

Mario will probably give the coordinators some latitude/decision making power over some of the unfilled position coaches. So I expect those to fill after the coordinator hires.

I know it may be an odd way of announcing but could it be possible the rest of our staff is just waiting to be announced this weekend in front of all those recruits? I mean what better way to announce to the country than at the biggest recruiting weekend of the year and start off the new staff with a BANG.
The idea that multiple staff are done but just waiting to be announced makes zero sense. If they were that far along in the hiring process with multiple coaches, those coaches would’ve had to let their schools, NFL teams, etc. know that they’re leaving and we would be seeing that information leak out and those teams/schools moving to fill vacancies. Mario has run a leak free ship so far, but if hires were actually done—as happened with Kevin Smith—that information would get out. Too many parties involved in this for completed hirings to stay quiet.

I am just shocked how quiet it is from the other sides. I can understand UM being leak proof but I can’t believe other staffs or the coaching community Is talking. Usually we they are gossiping like teenage girls

Can anyone with scheme knowledge discuss the run blocking / pass protection principals of a Kittley/Kingsbury air raid system and why they would or would not be something that meshes with how Cristobal/Mirabol want to coach OL?

***I do not think Kittley is an option to leave the state of TX at this point, just curious about how Mario might perceive the Air Raid.
probably wouldn't mesh MC very well, who care miami would be up by 40 by halftime, miami would get the rushing yards in the second half!! what I prefer but I'm not getting paid 8 milli

Mario has been here seven weeks, and has not made a single hire that wasn't a retained staff member from Miami or someone who followed him from Oregon.

You can do what you want with that comment, I'm just simply stating a fact.

Edit* I = sped: Kevin Smith

The coordinators and QBC will be new. It’s a mix. Look at BK and LR and you’ll see the same thing.

I have always maintained that the secrecy behind these announcements had to do with recruiting. Someone tried to talk me down when i said College football news will be dead after the national title game and here we are. Graveyard shift. So with my intuition the Coordinators gets announce between tomorrow and Friday. With all those top rank players coming in you take the news cycle for the whole weekend. Have the fan base engaged on all fronts.

Funny how the 1 big name coordinator we heard first has disappeared from all talks when it was probably ah done deal, contingent on whether or not a pro job became available. And now we wait.
