No idea. Why are you trying to distract and defect away from the fact that Mullen is a goofy, arrogant, lazy, bad recruiting ******* who hasn't been linked to the Miami job anywhere?
Well, if recruiting is such an essential quality of an OC, and you're a proponent of Briles, wouldn't you need to know how effective Briles is in that regard?

Btw if Dillingham bolts for Oregon, FSU will also have OC options...would this affect Briles potentially? Although he knows how terrible that QB room is, so I figure he's too smart to make the same mistake twice.

I mentioned Sowder in another thread. I don’t know jack about his system but his offense did great this year. Also Tim Cramsey from Marshall who is also a QB coach. His QB won frosh of the Year last year in CUSA

@Liberty City El Do you know anything about these OCs?
Yes, Zak Hill was a name I mentioned 2 years ago, he’s from the Boise St tree, but he’s staying out west at AZU.

Tim Cramsey was one of Mario’s OC’s at FIU, but he’s not really a top choice, we can do better.

Briles philosophy goes starkly against mario wanting physicality, hopefully he'll adjust if we get him, otherwise would really like to see tom herman come on board with mutliple offense that mario is looking for

Herman's in my revised top 3 assuming Brady is out, but if Mario's top options were centered around Brady and Briles, that's a clear sign to me that he knows this Miami team was clicking in a pass-first attack.

Briles went toe to toe with Lebby and Lane but lost 52-51. He helped beat Leach and put 31 against his respected DC in Arnett. His offense put up 35 against Bama in a close loss LATE in the season when Bama was clicking. Arkansas was ranked 30th in total offense, 25th in yards per play, 44th in scoring offense, and 13th in rushing offense.

All of this with a young promising QB that still needs a ton of development. Give him TVD last season and I wonder how his offense would have compared to Lane’s.

Briles is the OC for Pittman who is known as being one of the elite OL coaches in the game. Briles had the 13th ranked rushing offense. Lot of similarities between him and Mario (Mario is the better program builder/recruiter though).

Where did I say I am or am not a proponent of Briles? Please link or screenshot.

The Briles clan actually run the ball, I believe Ark finished in the top 15 in rushing. Art ran the ball well too. This isn't some finnesse offense imo

Maybe Brady to Miami is the only CFB job he'd consider but he wants to stay in NFL. He'll probably want to see what NFL OC openings there are. I just don't know if we want to wait that long. I think the longer we wait the more likely it'll be Dorsey or Brady. If we announce something soon after ESD it probably is Briles.

Honestly I'm cool with any of the 3.

Exactly.

Briles just doesn’t go I-Formation and try to bulldoze over you. So people think he is a finesse passing guy.

But there’s a reason why Baylor always had their interior OL get drafted under the Briles offense.

Shhhhhhhhhh.... we're busy trying to convince ourselves that Mario wouldn't stuff the goofy Mullen **** in a locker on day 3.:)

@Cribby's most recent post on CIS that mentioned Mullen:

;)

Mullen would be a good OC here idk what the **** some of y'all are talking about.

It's been discussed repeatedly - just get the best coordinators we can who gives a **** if they can recruit. That's what the other 8 on field coaches AND Super Mario are for.

Maybe you didn't. So Briles is off your list. Welcome to the party!

He's not off my lists. He's done a great job everywhere he's gone, they've run effectively, and he's an interesting candidate who is highly desired by a lot of programs. His market value is peaking. But I don't know THAT much about him once you feel back the obvious. I am not hiring the OC and I trust Mario to handle it without my fanboy message board input, so I am not floating absurd, baseless ideas... like Mullen.

Mullen... I know. And it's a bad joke to even think that Mario would give him a sniff. Which AGAIN, is why you haven't seen his name linked to the job ANYWHERE.

LOL @ Mullens. You really think Mario is going to hire a culture killing arrogant goofball that hates to recruit, and is bad at evaluating QB prospects? Dude missed over and over, lucked into Trask, and he only got run because Frenks went down.

Talk about a TERRIBLE fit.
Mullen isn't gonna go back to coordinating. He is a proven power 5 head coach. Just my opinion.
