For a second I thought this was former NFL RB and Miami-native Tim Lester and was going to comment. Then I saw that he unfortunately died of Covid last December. As teen girls say in Miami....I felt crunchy.

If that we're to happen it would be after the 2022 season. The new AD is not going to disrupt the program a few weeks from Spring Ball. That would be a disaster and who would he hire now. It's late in the 4th quarter a d there's very few coaches on the open market.

The thing thst kills me is thet people act like I don't like Candle. I do. I just don't think the move makes sense for him.

Campanile is unique because he’s got a defensive background as a linebacker, he was a high school DC at Don Bosco and then was their OC for 2 years. Coached defense at Rutgers, Spent 3 years at Rutgers coaching TE/WR, and then got into coaching DBs at BC and Linebackers at Michigan and with the Phins.

Understanding each level of the defense and having an understanding of offense enough to be a collegiate position coach gives him a unique perspective.

Hoping it’s only in a co-DC or LB coach role but he’d be a good addition

From following the Fins, and knowing what Flores prioritizes on defense, I would imagine he's a very good coach/teacher. Would be an asset in that regard, can't speak to his recruiting ability

I met AC a couple of times while at Rutgers. Kids seems to really like him. Had Rutgers in the recruiting game for some good players during the Kyle Flood Years... .

Hard nosed, no nonsense personality. at least on the field. He was coaching TEs though back then.

I know Candle is far and away option number 1

Mario was signed/sealed/delivered to Miami but it dragged out an entire weekend and into Monday so he could address his team.

Toledo returns to campus today I think - keeping it under wraps gives Candle time to address his team and staff in person. Mario probably wouldn’t hire him unless he felt the same way and wanted to do that for his guys.

Jimmy Sexton got wind of it going down - used it as a last chance effort to get a raise for Briles.

This is all me trying to piece together what is happening. Not putting a stamp on this saying it’s exactly what happened.

statistically was much better than the season before he arrived and jumped up in most statistical categories. Obviously willie got fired 75% of the way through the season so kind of a crap shoot to tell.

FSU fans don't like him but they're dumb. Even with that QB crapshow he had there he still raised productivity, not to mention his success at houston, FAU, Baylor, and the amazing job he's done at Arkansas

But, FSU fans were excited when they got him. I live in Tally and they were going on and on about getting him. He was screwed by how bad everything around the program was being handled.

So, we've got our OC, just don't know who it is yet, but Briles is the Nunez of this situation, or perhaps more accurate, he's the Lane Kiffin, who was the backup holding on the line waiting while we worked on other options.

He is a Toledo alum and this is his second stint there. My guess he or the guy they hired who was head coach at Union as the next coach if he leaves.

Yeah I'd put money on Sexton being the source for McMurphy. And McMurphy having no clue he was being used.

McMurphy doesn't care about being used. He wants to be used.

Alot of people don't understand this but being a sports insider requires a high level of submission...they have to put themselves in compromising positions and get on there knees and beg for it. If you only knew the things that SMD or McMurphy have done for their sources you wouldnt be able to sleep at night. Stuff that would make Harvey Weinstein sick.

Or at least that's what my sources tell me.
