Some names to watch before it’s deleted

If there’s one thing we’ve learned it’s that Charlie Weis didn’t put up jack. The flu riddled Brady put up those 34 points.
Weis installed the offensive background that New England is still using to this day.

Any idea why Toledo fans wouldn’t mind him leaving?

They believe that he has underachieved in the MAC given the “talent advantage” they have. Whatever, who gaf? This isn’t addressed towards you but we don’t want him as HC. We want him to solely coordinate an offense, so his performance as a HC honestly could not be more irrelevant when it comes to UM.

So this was the reason why I brought back up the topic on a HC from another program being the OC in the big names thread on p406…

Slid another poster the name that night after hearing Candle was a primary target, said poster can vouch if they choose. Spoke with Jaycane about it as well after he mentioned hearing about a G5 HC candidate a few days later. I couldn’t believe it honestly. But I was only told exactly that he was just a top target, not that anything was “done” so I wasn’t going to create a guessing and speculation frenzy since at that point his name was nowhere to be found anywhere and I **** sure wasn’t dropping a name publicly. Candle is an X and O wiz that has a modern style, scores points (27th in scoring O, Miami was 23rd) but traditionally runs the pill very well too (30th rushing O) so this makes sense for Mario.

When scoop and plugged in sources put out stuff like this and start using terms like targeting and zeroing in etc, most of the time that means all but done. It’s risky though cause the man is still employed but with this being “OUT” now, I can’t see it dragging on very long. Either he will sh*t or get off the pot. Hopefully we get it done, would be home run IMO.
If I'm who you're referring too, I vouch for this. Htown texted me about the Candle smoke weeks ago.

Yeah, yeah, “decided schematic advantage” and all that.

How has he done without Tom Brady as his QB?
How has every OC done without Brady? Manning? Rodgers?

The point of my post was to demonstrate how coaching interviews in the NFL or somewhere else are not a distraction since they take little to no time in prep, leave enough time for you to do game prep for the playoffs and usually are the final piece to the puzzle of a coach whom you might hire. Not a "Charlie Weis sucks" tirade.

Guess why Belichick disciples are getting hired... They have worked with him and that matters. Even ******* Matt Patricia got a job as a HC...

It always cracks me up how utterly clueless people can be. I saw something on here about Belk taking the ND DC job and someone was saying they were shocked he’d do it. What planet are we on??? Are people honestly unable to think for half a second? Hmm…it’s more money and you get to put “Notre Dame — Defensive Coordinator” on your resume for your next job. When your current one says “Houston”. Yeah, very tough decision.

More money, live in Miami, Coach elite athletes with a massive athletic advantage vs almost anyone you play and just have to worry about doing what you do best, which is call an offense. Oh, and if you do it really well for a couple years, you’ll be a HC at a school a lot better than Toledo. Again, real tough call.

For Christ’s sake, take a step back and think once in a while.
I agree with you on the Miami job but I think why people are saying that about Belk is that the ND head coach is going to be very involved in the defense so any real success there could be a 50/50 split which is why people thought we had a chance with Schuman.

Keyboard warrior doesn't mean insulting anyone, it just means he's jumping on something without the full context

The discussion was about toledo vs Miami in 2017 and I stated a *fact* that we had a good defense that year and potentially our best in 15 years.

Then he jumped to conclusions (like you're doing now) and started talking about Manny the HC and the defense this year (4 years after our potential OC faced them) which had nothing to do with it.
I’m not jumping to conclusions. When people talk about keyboard warriors it’s about guys who act tough behind a keyboard - like guys threatening someone or using significant insults. But I’ll wait for others to chime in to tell me I have it wrong and you have it right.

Who cares? You’re going from Houston to Notre Dame for more money. It’s not even close to a decision.
