I was in college at Akron while he was OC for Toledo. The offense always looked explosive on the field whenever we played them. Granted, it’s Akron and they’ve had a ****** football team since before I enrolled there so it may not mean a lot. But in my drunken haze I do remember they always put up a lot of points against us

This argument makes more sense for a school like Vandy in the SEC.

Toledo maybe can only recruit at a MAC level, but it plays in the MAC. It doesn’t to do more with less. It usually finishes with the top recruiting class in the conference.
The conference is the Mac though, the Mac as a whole is not a conference that readily has 4-star talent available & none of the schools in that conference are spending P5 type money on recruiting budgets.

It’s a relative argument, there will never be a day where Toledo can be looked at as a hotbed recruiting zone.

Sooooo Seattle wants to continue to make stupid decisions. Trade Russell before he kills himself please.
Letting KNJ go was the right decision, albeit a season too late. Promoting Hurtt would not be, but it probably won't look any different than before. Pete has had 4-5 DCs in Seattle now and the scheme has been pretty consistent. Pete just hires his friends to run his defense.

If true, count me as disappointed. I wanted, and expected, a guy with a track record of excellent offenses and QB development AT THE TOP LEVEL. This is, to me, the equivalent of hiring Memphis Mike Norvel. In fact he was a more successful low level coach than Candle who has been meh as a HC/OC. I hope this is a play to get Briles, Dorsey or someone else to make up their minds.

Pete misses Dan Quinn. He just won’t admit it.
