Yeah that's why I said seems to be. At the very least seems like, at the moment, he's a great recruiter considering the limited time he's spent coaching at a P5 level. Only been coaching since 2017 and has been at Ole Miss for less than 2 years.

They had him listed on just about all of the 2023 SFL recruits Ole Miss was going after so seems like Kiffin was starting to put more on his plate. Has potential to be elite if he continues to progress. Especially recruiting in his own backyard. Pair him w/ Mario, Mirabal, and McClendon....omg. That's a nutty recruiting staff.

Here's what the Ole Miss mod on 247 said about Kevin Smith's role in recruiting Zach Evans:

"Lane took a personal role in the recruitment of Zach Evans. It is untrue that Kevin Smith did not have a hand, as well. I watched both Lane and Kevin walk Evans to his SUV on his official visit, side by side. It was Smith that put Evans in the car and had the final conversation with him. I do not, however, believe Smith's departure will be a bump in the road. I do think it is critically important that Evans is in a an Ole Miss class room when courses resume on Jan. 18."

Seems like Smith was instrumental in getting Evans on to Ole Miss.

I'm just being honest here.

If Saban is REALLY REALLY smart and diabolical, he goes after Corey Raymond. First, Corey is a Louisiana legend, and his stomping grounds are right down the road from Alabama. Second, Saban weakens a conference rival, instead of UM.

Let it sink in. Think about it. I'm not saying T-Rob won't be the guy, but Saban should really be chasing Corey Raymond.

Although both T-Rob and Corey may be concerned about Saban and the fact that DBs are his specialty. Neither guy can completely stretch his wings and soar. But wins? Absolutely.
