I'm very big on Ken Dorsey... He's a proven developer of QB talent and understands the leadership necessary to win at the highest levels of football. He played QB for []__[] on great teams and called a lot of plays during his time at Miami. Would love him to come back in some capacity and possibly work with Brady. His leadership, championship & coaching experience would be invaluable from an organizational standpoint. Bring Ken, Brady, & Coley if you can.

I don't think Brady is playing games, he's got options
Im sure he does. Doesnt change the fact that we should move to one of the other candidates while WE still have options if he is not able to make a decision.

If he cant make the call with what he has on the table it probably means he is waiting on some other teams. Thats the case we probably dont end up with him anyway.

Briles would be a disaster

This is actually as good an endorsement as you can ask for. You’ve never been remotely correct about anything in your entire life and could fvck up a glass of ice water.

Where’s my boy @KrazyCane at on this? If he’s 100% no on Briles, then I’ll know if we get him we’re winning the natty next year.

You wild. Briles is basically Lashlee. Ignore the year with slick Willy. What he’s done at Arkansas has been incredible
Exactly

He is probably basing his opinion off when he was at FSU, but he kicked *** everywhere else he's been.

Turning Arkansas into a respectable offense in one offseason should be highly impressive to anyone.

Not sure what Ken's end-game is, but if he wants to call plays and eventually be a HC, a couple of successful years as OC at Miami should get him a college gig at the very least.

I'm a closet Arkansas fan. Had grandparents that lived there, on both sides, so spent a lot of summers there as a kid. It's hard to express what the resurgence of that program means to that kind of rural fan base that has no other sports to attach to, and how they've connected with Sam Pittman and the 'underdog/country boy/scrappy/physical' mindset that team has been imbued with.

I'd venture to say if Sam Pittman put an (R) or a (D) next to his name, he could win a Governors race in a landslide. The relationships between AD, coaches, fans, and all permutations of that seem very genuine and motivated by emotions and pride. All this to say - do we have reason to believe Briles would even consider leaving? I know it's rare in CFB and other sports to have loyalty to a program that transcends $$ or upward mobility, but to me, that team has elements of that.

I guess I'm wondering if those in the know think the dude is open to coming.

I'd almost prefer Briles, he's more of a college guy, and a known commodity. Think it's a guarantee that, barring injuries, he'd have our offense top-50 at least.

Am I wrong that Brady seems more of a higher-risk, higher-reward option, due to how he admittedly doesn't like to deal with recruiting, doesn't have the same body of work, and how he was let go, mid-season by an NFL team?

He was done a favor being let go by Carolina. Trash QB, Mccaffrey played all of 2 games and they have 1 decent WR.

He’s one of the top 3 candidates. I’m sure he’s reached out. He just saw Lashlee get a head gig because of Tvd. Why stay in Bfe when you can make more money , live in south fla and have Tvd at qb? He’s just not the top option.
