How many times does it need to be stated, that it is different for head coaches vs. assistant coaches. Look around the entire NCAA landscape. Very few assistant coaches who are taking other assistant coaching jobs have been announced IF THEY ARE STILL PLAYING. I'm not saying zero percent, just very few. So while we can "name names", that doesn't change the way that most schools/coaches handle this issue. Lanning took a HEAD coaching job.

Fair enough. I'm not mad at you or any one person in particular, just tired of the the generalized (and inaccurate) concept that says that every assistant coach making a lateral move in college immediately leaves the old employer and jumps to the new employer 5 minutes after agreeing to a job offer and/or signing a contract.
