I'm not convinced Briles's offense gets the most out if TVD and think he'd benefit greatly from with an NFL pedigree (concepts, game planning, development, etc).

We've got a pro quarterback now. Let's be pros.

I agree, but only the individuals with the lowest IQ in this hoe *** fanbase, try to argue the merits of a SpReAd offense vs PrO StYlE BrO

What kind of offense does Bama run?? Saban’s staff is littered with NFL coaches.

Do they run a ground & pound offense or do they incorporate full-field passing concepts to go along with mastery of RPOs?

At the end of the day it's not about philosophies. It's about personnel, versatility, & multiplicity. Thats what was on full display yesterday in their win against Cincinnati. When it was time to close the game out, they went back to their ground & pound identity which was so instrumental in the early days of their dynasty.

Saban continues to hire NFL coaches because he realizes they're the best in the business when it comes to game planning, attacking opposing teams weaknesses, & fielding an offense that has versatility & multiplicity.

I had the opportunity to be around Hartline and his dad Dale a few times when he was with the Fins. It the least surprising thing ever that Brian is an excellent recruiter.
That’s awesome. I do wonder where his career goes from here. He is so loyal to OSU but if he wants to be an OC, he can probably get that at a smaller school with his stock being as high as it is.

After watching the rose bowl, Brian hartline is a must have and the best wr coach in cfb
Brian Hartline replaced Zach Smith as WR coach. Zach was a big recruiter before his "missteps" came to light.

Hartline would be a great pick up, but dude is Ohio St thru and thru. Dude isn't leaving Ohio St unless it's for a bigger role...OC...etc

You're right....dude produces as a coach

If I'm Luke Fickell he's on my very shortlist for this opening. If I'm Hartline it would have to be interesting because one would assume Fickell is going to take a bigger job sooner rather than later too and this could be a fasttrack to a HC job.

I’d jump at the chance to get that gig. Probably not a better G5 program to walk into right now. Plus he’d be right back at OSU if Day leaves for the NFL.

You think Hartline is ready for an OC job at a school like Cincy? He's been a WR coach for like 4 years and Fickell is a defensive background head coach. I'd be surprised if Fickell hired somebody with zero coordinator experience.
