This why I am reasonably optimistic and excited about Briles. He makes a good meal notwithstanding the ingredients he has to work with. At Arkansas, he uses more QB designed run plays because that is Jefferson's strength. I am hopeful that we will see more of the Baylor offense at Miami.By the way, I don't think this Arkansas offense is Briles's preferred offense. Baylor/ Briles were primarily known for their vertical passing game (though they did run a ton to keep teams honest). Nobody in the country chucked the ball deep and ran 4 verts as much as them. Which makes what he is doing at Arkansas more impressive. He's obviously adapting to the talent has and picked up some things from Pitman. Good article on Baylor/ Briles.
