Muschamp is an OFF FIELD assistant. With Lanning (co DC) already in Eugene who else is supposed to call plays besides the other Co DC (Schuman)? They are in the playoffs.

Holy **** come on guys lol

Muschamp is no longer off field. That changed when Cochran went on leave. When Cochran returned, Kirby placed Cochran in an off field role and Muschamp stayed as an on field coach.

Edit: Also, Lanning is not in Oregon unless something changed recently. He was set to remain for the semi and final if they won the semi game.

Mario having a huge budget for coordinators and assistants, while seemingly using that budget to give his Oregon staff raises is disappointing. Was expecting better.

How do you know Mario’s giving the coaches he’s bringing from his Oregon staff raises? Serious question. Those coaches he’s bringing from his Oregon staff seem to be very good and will give him some instant continuity in his new staff at Miami. It’s not like he’s bringing several greenhorn scrubs.

The most important hires will be the coordinators. I feel confident Mario has enough cache (and cash) to attract great candidates.

Mario's coordinators and assistants hiring's or soon to be hiring's have been disappointing compared to what Napier is putting together in Gainesville :(
I disagree. He’s made one envious hire: Corey Raymond. That was an A+++ hire but who knows LSU may bring him home in a year depending on what Kelly does this year.

The rest of that staff is a bunch of could be. Remember they are using a Co-DC and Napier is calling the plays which is just a run heavy offense. Not sure what’s so great about that. They had Mullen who was an offensive wizard - Napier is far from that.

The NFL names they are reportedly bringing back are not great recruiters. So he has a staff of 10 who will land DBs at a high clip but UF always wins DB Battles in recruiting that’s not needed: Marshall, Elam, Henderson, etc. they were already winning those against UM and FSU.

Interesting. I would think with a championship on the line Kirby would go with the old head and tell Schuman he has the reigns next year if he’s trying to keep him.
Sounds like Kirby trying to bribe him to stay by making him think he will have the reigns next year but Muschamp will be in charge

He’s been on field since Cochran took a leave of absence earlier in the season.

Will we have coordinators named before hitting 200 pages? Stay tuned.

In a month we’ve gone from a Top 50 to a top 10 coaching staff and dudes are *****ing. In 2 weeks Mario brought in Skinner and Kelly but missed on some transfers who chose the $EC and dudes are crying fail fail fail.

You guys fail as fans. You’re unrealistic. The dude gets to show us what he can do in his 2023 bump class. Everything happening now is gravy. He just got here and we had no one.

Get some ******* perspective.
Amen bro

Not saying this will happen, but maybe to get out from under the wings of Saban and now Smart? Working under Cristobal would prove he could take what he's learned from Saban/Smart and have full ownership/control of it. As long as he's under Smart, he won't get full credit for that D.
Not sure that applies here. Maybe he has a great relationship with Smart and he’ll get out when he gets a HC job?

They’re complaining about us getting Oregon coaches who are better than what we and most every team has in those positions simply because he had them at Oregon.
