I truly respect everyone and their opinion. However, it’s like comparing a Ferrari to a corvette. They’re both fun to drive, but one is easily the better of the two. Texas BBQ is on a different level.
Depends on the Ferrari tbh. If its the Superfast, ******* forget it lol

That depends sir, the ZR1 has been kicking Ferrari’s *** for years in Le Mans 😉

i saw online that goldee's bbq in texas has been killing it. It's a fairly recently opened place but it's going toe to toe and maybe bettering the best in texas.

iirc it's in the fort worth area.

The Meat Church video that I posted a 1000 pages ago, had the owners of Goldie’s on it.

I’m the most anti- “hire all Miami bro’s” bro on the board, but Ed is in a different category.

#1) He was an assistant DB’s coach with the Bills, so he does actually have coaching experience
#2) No one had better preparation & film study at their position except for maybe Ray Lewis or Tom Brady. Ed Reed had the Mamba Mentality approach to understanding the intricacies of the game & breaking down film.
#3) He’s been a coach at the UA All-American multiple times, seems trivial right? Except so did Deion Sanders, Herm Edwards & Marvin Lewis all before they returned to coaching in college, they simply used it as an opportunity to re-ingratiate themselves with the High school recruiting scene.
#4) Ed shows up to nearly every event we have on campus, he was at Elite Prospect Day just a few weeks ago, why keep showing up all the time if you don’t have time? Lol

Point being, I don’t think anyone would argue that Ed isn’t arguably the greatest Safety of all-time, so if he wanted to be Safeties coach why not? It’s not like he’d be the DC responsible for calling plays to orchestrating gameplans, he’d be Safeties coach, which he could probably do with his eyes closed.

And as a recruiter, come on... What 4-star Safety from South FL is gonna be like, “No thanks Ed Reed, Ima take my talents to Trailerhasse bro..” lol
And really, you give him 2 years. If he sucks Ed seems like a guy that would do what is best for the school and walk away.

But he would be a major liability. Ed seems like the type that if you were ******* up in practice he would take your helmet and do it for you.

Ed Reed at Safeties Coach learning under a highly experienced college coaching veteran in Kevin Steele and eventually taking over as DC or at least Co-DC would be amazing.
I get the impression that Ed doesn't want to work any 60 hour weeks and showing up to wave every few days is fine with him. Cannot see him making the effort required to be an effective coach.

This thread never sleeps.

If someone wanted to be a Coach wouldn't they actually get a job coaching somewhere and show they CAN coach??

KC bbq is mediocre-to-lousy in comparison to Texas Q. They can’t even do things like ribs and pulled pork as good as the places in central Texas. And forget brisket, which is consistently awful in KC unless it’s burnt ends.

Best KC bbq places are LCs, Slaps and KC Joe’s. And Jack Stack is decent. After that it’s literally dozens of places cooking up trash.

I do enjoy KC BBQ sauce. Everything else I find too sweet for my taste

South Carolina bbq is better than Texas 🤷
Charleston, SC resident here, the only reason I would say that’s true is because it’s hard to get Texas style in South Carolina. With that said I hold the opinion that for beef bbq Texas is boss, for pork, whole hog particularly, Carolinas hands down. Luckily for me we have both right here in Charleston! 😜
