Some names to watch before it’s deleted

LCE is the early odds on favorite to win the Troll of the Year award. He's ahead by a mile and it ain't even close.🤣
Haha. I don't necessarily consider LCE a troll though but more of a skilled satirist/parody master. A troll targets and thrives off of a reaction for some select individuals or a group. I could be wrong but I think LCE is moar or the "absurdity of it all" with certain situations or mindsets.

We didn’t pay him 80 million dollars to make mistakes early on. We’re 9 weeks in we have one non Oregon staffer on staff. And just lost the two best coaches we had on staff in a matter of a week. He’s an experienced coach. Mistakes early on were meant for someone like manny. This is inexcusable in every way. We’re supposed to be riding momentum coming off a monster final weekend visitor list but there appears to be no momentum in program what so ever
I keep hearing this “2 best coaches” **** but one of them wasn’t here long enough to rent a place to live yet and the other was coaching one of the worst secondaries this football team has put forth. The thing is assistant coaches are a dime a dozen and there are many great recruiters out there. We will be fine with assistants. We just need the right OC and DC hires.

I gave Mannys Bull$hit watch the finish tweets a chance and fell for that **** mote times than I would like to admit. Least I can do is give a coach with a **** of a lot more credibility the same **** opportunity. Hopeful until proven otherwise. Also respect the fact that Mario is taking fans wants and timelines at zero % consideration. We !itch and Manny would make a move just to make us happy.

This is way over-the-top and inaccurate imo.

We behaved like just about every other fanbase would in this situation. When there's bad news, people respond negatively. When there's high expectations followed by a string of bad news, people respond with even harsher criticism. We're not anti-Miami because we're upset when bad things happen to Miami. That's ridiculous lol.

We hired a new coach. We were all excited. He's a big get. We seemingly destroyed a huge stereotype (we don't care and we won't pony up resources). Some of the names being floated around were downright elite. We were close having a 2 ELITE recruiters on the same staff, and then Alabama and Georgia reminded us that they are the kings on the top of the mountain.

People are groveling about the process (as they should be). People have a (key word, fleeting) feeling of hopelessness right now. But I guarantee you that if Mario makes killer hires, there'll be overcorrection in the opposite direction (we're gonna win the ACC, we're gonna go to the playoffs, championship in two years, etc). Mostly every other fan base does this.

It's fair to question his decision-making and judgment after what's just happened. And the majority of posters have moved from downright slurpirng to more fair assessors of the current situation. I don't necessarily see that as a bad ting. Right now there's a lot of bad news, so there'll be a lot of criticism. When there's positive news, there'll be a lot of slurping.
Huge difference between fleeting criticism and what we will see (and are already seeing) over the next few weeks.

If who I described isn’t you, kudos. Dislike it, ignore it, and enjoy the next few years. Good or bad.

Haha the timing of this is insane. Miami just hosted the HUGE junior day where Bmac got to meet face to face with the absolutely loaded WR class where they all bonded and connected with him just for Georgia to swoop in and get him. Now all the 23 guys who were feeling Bmac are immediately in play for Georgia. Such a shame shoulda left his *** in Oregon
And you would think kids and parents would peep that he’s obviously a liar but they not goin care. Long as the money good lol

Agreed. He hasn't lost the fan base. He hasn't even played a game yet. I still support him. But we can support him and still not be naive and blind to the fact that he has made some obvious mistakes early on. He still has time to sort it out. I'm rooting for Mario.
Most of the fanbase couldn't even name anyone on staff right now aside from Mario if we're being honest. They'd probably be like "Uhhh, Ed Reed?". And that's not necessarily anything unique to Miami.

We're obviously the "real" fans here but when you're talking overall fanbases and have to actually account for the hoi polloi then it's almost always safe to assume mass ignorance and that all they care about are things in-season and wins/losses.

This may have been mentioned upthread (not going all the way back to read) but i wonder if the lack of OC/DC hirings were a factor in Trob and Bmac moving on to Bama and UGA respectively.

I always love in these convos how little clue people have about what O'Brien did in New England and how he schemed the offense up.

That thing in 2010 and 2011 was a juggernaut.
No one is worried about Bill O'Brien. Nobody in Houston would call him innovative. He's a JAG of a coach. Not terrible, got great. JUST.ANOTHER.GUY.

You talking about something a decade ago that he's come nowhere near producing again isn't a feather in his cap. It actually lends more credence to everything works with Brady. Specifically in his athletic prime Brady.

So when the Patriots create a time machine and pull prime Brady, young Gronk and young Hernandez and place them in 2022 we'll all be in fear.

Arizona State just had to fire their OC, WR’s, CB’s & TE’s coach for “recruiting violations”...

I said “recruiting violations”...

They’re all available... Just sayin... 👀
