The Golden era of the NBA. Grateful I was old enough to grow up at that point and learn how to play the game that way.

Once They stopped playing defense, passing/movement without the ball, and offense became a clear out for a 1 on 1 on every possession, stopped watching.
ISO was a byproduct of kids wanting to be Mike. That was the early to mid 2000s ball. The NBA hasn’t been that in a long long while. The ball movement now is insane.

I grew up watching 80's NBA. Other than guys kicking their legs out on jump shots and drawing an insane number of fouls, I love the flow of offense in todays NBA. 90's basketball was painful to watch IMHO.

As an ex football player growing up in the 305 in the late 60’s and 70’s, basketball wasn’t even on our radar. We barely fielded a team when I was at MCA. Football, baseball and wrestling was our things.

When MJ was playing, my wife would even watch. About the only time I watch any games is when the Canes are on or during March Madness.

It was **** basketball. Those Heat vs Knicks matchups in the mid to late 90s were brutal. 75-71 brick fests.
The intensity was insane though. Those teams legit disliked each other. Bball now doesn't hate true rivalries & animosity anymore, all the players are too buddy buddy and it feels very blah in comparison to the 80's & 90's.

They changed that a couple of seasons ago. Now it’s an offensive foul.

No doubt. Be Like Mike changed it. Was still great to watch for a while but then got too predictable for me personally. Good to hear that ball movement is part of the game again.

Sounds corny but living in CT my whole life you get a very heavy dose of UConn Women Huskies. The way they play and are coached gives me a little nostalgia. There were some things I couldn’t do athletically on the court so had to learn to be a technician in other areas so I appreciate that stuff when I see it.

Money and Free Agency had a big play in that... And believe me I'm all for guys getting paid and having freedom but what you gain in one regard you lose in another... It's just the way it goes...

Fck this.
Ain’t nothing happening this weekend either.
We need more pages.

Messi should’ve just played for Spain and not Argentina.
He would have at the very least one maybe 2 World Cup trophies by now.

Amazing that the 2 best players of their generation don’t have any world cups.

It’s like saying MJ and Kobe played at the same time and neither of them won a ring.

But Messi is still the 🐐

Wish I could see how some of the offensive stars of today woulda matched up against this.....I couldn't stand them but I can't deny the impact they left on anyone they went up against..View attachment 174958
It's funny how in the NBA today, you have so many foreign players thriving, but in the 80s and 90s the foreign players all struggled to adjust to the physicality of the NBA. The league has gotten so soft to where it's more inline with overseas play.
