Trying to catch up from last night’s festivities, this one one really caught my eye lol. A for effortDoes anybody know who the rest of the coaches will be on staff or when they will be hired?
I watched that game. I heard this dude made some money off that after this circulated around the sports shows the next day. Made bobble heads and tshirts and ****.
Are you trying to tell us something? The two most important attributes of a sound leader are:
1. Competency
2. Decisiveness
Or he chose the Giants over the Dolphins because they’ve won a super bowl in his life time….
AThere aren’t even centers in the league anymore
I’m a huge Lebrun fan and he would have been successful in any era. But if you don’t acknowledge that 80s and 90s NBA centers just hit different, then you’re out of your **** minds
Lmao I almost put that shhh gift to someone else’s comments. I try to be nice about todays nba players and give their fanboys something. Lmao I have zero respect for todays nba’s players statical achievements. I can build them up with the same stupid arguments as everyone else. Maybe you love or hate Steph, but most every idiot who thinks these guys are the greatest ever, never watched a full game pre 1990. The implementation of the flagrant foul, the moving in of the three point line, enforcement/ultimately outlawing of the hand checking rule and the final nail in the coffin of the nba… the legalization of the zone defense, made comparing anyones careers then and now almost laughable using numbers. Tex Winters and anyone that truly understands the level of both physical and mental competency necessary to compete then vs now is a millennium apart from one another. Steph literally would have been beaten to death pre 1990. The only thing that todays players have over ones from only twenty five years ago is better drugs and training regiments. I’ll digress and say, it’s fun to watch everyone try and BE a Harlem Globetrotter in 2022.
It’s laughable, because defense in todays NBA is nonexistent. To be a first team guy, you only have to play it every night and love playing that side of the ball. Real talk
MJ’s Defense was as good as his Offense. He and Scottie always defended the best. MJ was a superior Offensive and Defensive player in an era where they knock your *** to the ground. If he played in today’s game, in his prime, he would average 45ppg.
Rule changes, the legalization of the zone defense, made this an argument. Take that away and it’s not a conversation. Ever. There’s a reason an old, broken and almost unrecognizable version of himself/Kobe could put up 60 on his last night. This NBA game is laughable as compared to the one he played in.Give me Kobe over Lebaby all day. i need someone that will play every night. Doesnt need to rest. That has a killer mentality. That actually plays defense not make 1-2 plays a night that ESPiN puts on TV to con people in to thinking he is actually a good defender. That doesnt need 2 other all stars to carry me to a championship
Yes he would have scored an unbelievable amount of points. He would have broken Wilts (unbreakable) single season average “yearly”. He probably wouldn’t have been half the defender he was for two reasons. One, the way he played is no longer legal and two, he would have been encouraged to give up defending that end to run free against the defenses he’d be seeing on every single possession. There would be no need to play within a system that rewards ball a different kind of ball movement. Imagine him having to choose between an open lane or just coming off a pick on every trip to be successful. It’s fun to think about. OK I’m done posting about basketball. It’s a different game and if I was them, I’d enjoy the ride too. Play forever, break every record and make all the money. No fear, no injury and no system/team accountabilityMJ’s Defense was as good as his Offense. He and Scottie always defended the best. Detlef Schrempf or Dennis Schröder?
Moritz Wagner or Franz Wagner?
This all cap, lebron is the best overall player to ever play.Lebron played in weak *** Eastern Conferences when he went to every Finals. Jordan didn’t have it that easy. Not even close. Still, it’s a silly argument. Lebron could have won theDallas and 2nd SA series but choked. Plus, he’s been swept twice, hasn’t he? Lebron isn’t even better than Kobe, let alone, MJ.
