I’m officially done talking basketball. 😬 I haven’t, for the most part talked to anyone in the gables this week. I’ve been away on business/charity/fun. I have a four hour ride home this morning. I’ll make some calls and get caught up. I’m kind of excited to get back in the loop myself.
Now you know everyone is on your *** for some info

Because he's wrong.. it's not difficult to understand...
Nah he’s not wrong and neither is your opinion. But to just scoff at Lebrons achievements and act like if he’s #2 then it’s by the slimmest of margins… then you’re a hater or don’t know wtf you’re talking about

**** - we have sunk to the old proverbial Mike vs Lebron generational debate… What’s next … what came first the chicken or the egg… we need Jesus

When you talk about true GOATs, like a legit GOAT in a sport as popular and prevalent as basketball, there is zero margin for error. Zero.

What Bron did in the finals vs Dallas removed him from the GOAT discussion forever. Sorry. Just the way it is. You’re allowed to have off-nights, you’re even allowed to lose a series. It’s a team game. So Jordan doesn’t get the nod simply because he was 6-0 in the finals. But you can’t do whatever the fvck it was Bron did in that series, on that stage. It was like he was kidnapped or being held hostage. So, he’s obviously great, he might even be the 2nd best player ever, but you can’t put that on film for multiple games on that stage and be the GOAT.

Lmao I almost put that shhh gift to someone else’s comments. I try to be nice about todays nba players and give their fanboys something. Lmao I have zero respect for todays nba’s players statical achievements. I can build them up with the same stupid arguments as everyone else. Maybe you love or hate Steph, but most every idiot who thinks these guys are the greatest ever, never watched a full game pre 1990. The implementation of the flagrant foul, the moving in of the three point line, enforcement/ultimately outlawing of the hand checking rule and the final nail in the coffin of the nba… the legalization of the zone defense, made comparing anyones careers then and now almost laughable using numbers. Tex Winters and anyone that truly understands the level of both physical and mental competency necessary to compete then vs now is a millennium apart from one another. Steph literally would have been beaten to death pre 1990. The only thing that todays players have over ones from only twenty five years ago is better drugs and training regiments. I’ll digress and say, it’s fun to watch everyone try and BE a Harlem Globetrotter in 2022.
Think what Rick Barry could have done in today's game. When he played defense was brutal physically. There was no 3 point shot. In college no shot clock.

MOST CONTRACTS have what is called a SETBACK PROVISION. Coach is owed $15.4 million buyout on being fired: 50% paid on termination; balance paid in 3 annual installments over a 3 year period. So he is owed basically $2.6 million per year for 3 years (having received $7.7 on termination). Any coaching job he takes DURING THAT 3 YEAR PERIOD ... will be subject to the setback provision: He gets a job for $2.0 million per year .. that is subtracted from the $2.6 million owed by the school, the school pays him $600K . and COMBINED he receives his $2.6 million per season . That is the normal provision.
Maybe this whole wait is dotting i’s and crossing t’s over his contract. One can hope!!

You can’t get outscored by Jason Terry in an NBA Finals and be called the Goat. That’s where the discussion ends lol
