sounds like the staff will look something like this

OC/QB - Briles
WR - McClendon
RB - IDK
TE - FIELDS
OL - Mirabal

DC/LB - Chris Partridge
Safety - T-Rob
CB - Chance?
DL - Salave'a

plus one more. throw the ST tag on one of the three above.
I think Fields gets retained. He does a great job and is a monster recruiter.

Who is saying Briles is the pick for OC besides a bunch of KrazyCanes on this board?

Partridge is not coming.

Wasn’t Brady‘s name also listed in the “directory” at one point?
Yes. Saw Mike, Greg, Peter and Bobby all listed- made no sense - maybe he has a lot of middle names and Miami screwed it up. What was even more weird was so were Marsha, Jan and Cindy. Miami so woke.

It’s like we’re all waiting around with Escobar while @Mackmiller974 continuously throws out uninspiring names for multiple coaching staff positions.

It’s torture.
If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t care how long Mario takes but he’s getting me to the where I don’t care if we hire Tom Osborne as OC to run the wishbone just so that he can stop throwing out these terrible names.

Lmmfao you are way off

Maestro would be underwhelming for a RB coach. Honestly, I'd rather not bring a ton of his staffers from Oregon; we've already got the good ones (Mirabal, BMac, potentially Salvae'a), no need to reach and just grab others (I would be fine with either Chance or Williams, not sure about both, however). Plenty of beast recruiters and good coaches at that position, with better ties to S.FLA or other recruiting hotspots.

Remember when every single day for weeks it was shoved down everyone's throats how stupid they were for wondering why Manny wasn't fired yet because OBVIOUSLY they were waiting until December 2nd when his buyout went down and they HAD to hire a new AD first so they could fire him? And then, well, not one single ******* ounce of that was true in any way, shape, or form in the end and not a single person to this day has any explanation for it? The now daily force feeding that we're waiting for high level Bowl games to be over to hire OCs and DCs is starting to sound just like that.

Saw this on the Oregon equivalent of this board - looks like UF will have some tears again..

Tosh Lupoi - I know there hasn't been an announcement yet. He's a done deal to Oregon I'm told. He's made a few calls privately to current players and started introducing himself. I don't know when he'll be announced. Sounds like contractual obligations. But this one is a done deal. Expect him to hit the trail running in January.
Well this would completely reinforce any Salave'a to Miami talk. Guy would be out of a job at Oregon. So either go to a new school with a completely different staff out west or go with Mario and likely a handful of other assistants you are familiar with. Helps with the family as they would know some of the other coaches’ families upon moving.

I completely understand, we all want to find out sooner rather than later (or at least get the rumor mill going again). As tedious as this process has been, there are still big name schools who have large vacancies (A&M DC, LSU OC and DC, etc.) Clemson and UF filled their openings quickly, but Clemson was all internal hires, and UF filled out position coaches (OC is Hillbilly Napier, DC is his man from Louisiana-Lafayette).

Now I will say, the "bowl game" excuse is just that - an excuse. It hasn't stopped LSU from publicly going after Cinci's OC, Josh Gattis's right hand man Steve Casula being hired to UMass, Dan Lanning leaving to Oregon (yes, I know HC is different than coordinators), etc. I'm not arguing that Mario should have made his hires already, more so that I hope he isn't putting all his eggs in certain baskets, only to end up empty-handed on his first couple of choices.

What would negate the post above, however is this: who knows if Mario has already agreed to terms with certain candidates? I have my money on that at least one of the coordinator positions has already been agreed to, just won't be named publicly (like Mario's situation back in late November).

In the end, all we can do is trust him... he certainly has far exceeded expectations in terms of recruiting at this point.

What’s everyone’s beef with our current RB coach? I feel like he’s been good.. or is it just better overall options being talked about.
That he's part of the old regime and he allegedly physically assaulted a few players.

I can't vouch for the latter (think more prominent posters on this board have mentioned this before) but he is a good recruiter; i'll let Mario make that call.
