Every house needs a bathroom. This thread is keeping all the other threads from becoming a urinal.

There are literally zero updates on the coaching search. Every single one of them is fluff or lies masquerading as guesswork.

This thread is a quarantine. You can come in and get sick or avoid it entirely.

You’re welcome.

Don’t forget the OG’s

Buddy Rich and Ginger Baker
My deceased genius crazy great uncle who worked on the proximity fuse during WWII - before he was out of his teens - grew up on the same street or building as him in Brooklyn. Used to hear him playing all the time. Said they called him the boy genius or something.

Not even touching on the jazz greats. Those guys get out there and are corralling some crazy orchestras doing live free styling… Art Blakely, Max Roach, Tony Williams. Billy Martin in more recent times.

John Fishman from Phish is a bit more cult hero but they get out there with some weird, weird time signatures.

So this is the staff at the moment:

HC: Mario Cristobal
OC:
DC:

QB:
RB: Kevin Smith
OL: Alex Mirabal
WR: Bryan Mcclendon
TE:
DL: Joe Salave'a
LB:
DB:
Special Teams:

So 6 spots left. Here's some thoughts on who I think we may land or how we should be addressing our needs.

OC/QB: I'd guess who ever takes the OC job will be the QBs coach. I wouldn't mind hiring Coley as a QB/TEs coach. It would push Field out though which I don't want. If we did go down the Coley route we'd need to hire an OC as well.
TE: Stephen Field
DC: Doug Belk
LB: Who know's but I'd prefer either a DC/LBer coach who has a history of upgrading this spot or flat out a LBer's coach who's elite at this spot
DB: Travaris Robinson... I think he stays home and we give him the whole DB room along with competitive compensation
Special Teams: We need someone elite here
Wasn’t there some scuttlebutt that Dennis Smith may take on Special Teams in some sort of off field capacity?

You seem to be a big Phish fan. Does Phish and Widespread Panic emanate from fans of the Dead?

I just realized how you chose your name on here. Lol

Now we are talking when you mention Art Blakey, Idris Muhammad, Billy Cobham.

Where are my jazz heads at? Saw Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Dr Lonnie Smith, live.
For those interested in current amazing jazz check out:
Kamasi Washington, Theo Croker, Sons Of Kemet, John Carroll Kirby, Christian Scott Atunde Adjuah, Robert Glasper, Emma Jean Thackeray, Esperanza Spalding.

It won four Oscar’s and got nominated for best picture.
No doubt. I thought the way they filmed it with the camera was outstanding. I feel like it’s gotten lost in the shuffle though. No one ever brings that movie up. I forget about it myself when discussing movies. That was a good one. The Oscars suck. I stopped watching recently. But Traffic deserved some nominations that year.
