Bell is an interesting guy. I would be happy with the hire but there are a few red flags: mainly Houston had a super weak schedule allowing his defense to pad the stats against inferior competition.

But when they played a team with a pulse, they gave up points. They even let USF put up big time points against them.

I don't know what it would say if Mario spent all this time, with all these new resources, mulling over who to hire only to make a bad hire.

It's difficult to feel optimistic the more time passes and nothing happens. Maybe they're all NFL guys.

I said to my guy who is usually preconnected about though Mario wanted them hired before the recruiting opens and he said the BIG recruits already know who they are. As we have seen a lot of these guys in the know have been off on this one. Mario plugged all the leaks it seems.
