Per the 247 podcast they heard from a recruit that the recruit had been told a "small school coach" was in play for the OC job. From there they looked at Mario's coaching history and found Ponce was his WR coach (I believe) at FIU and that Ponce is currently the OC at a small school.

No real information is leaking out and this conversation with a recruit is as close as they can get to real info. As evidenced by the length of this thread, people very much want to know what is going on with the OC/DC hires. In the absence of real info, this is what happens.

Did someone actually have to research who that name would be based on that "clue"?

If somebody says they know for sure who the coordinators are be Instantly suspect of them. That's all I'll say. "Players" on the team don't even know so........a lot of bogus info out there .
