I find it hard to believe that a coach like Mario, who puts so much emphasis on recruiting, would have a hiring plan that involved not having his coordinators in place by the end of the dead period. Now it might not be a bad thing—maybe he seems opportunity with some NFL guys—but very hard to imagine that this was the plan.

To your point, didn't Mario said it should be all wrapped up by the time the dead period ends? If it's not all wrapped up, then he's probably moved on to plan B and C candidates.

People freak out when people suggest that it's taking so long because Mario may have missed on his most desirable targets and then attack you. Whiffing on a few candidates is not ideal, but it's not necessarily bad. There are plenty of really good hires Mario can make.
