Hurt was a fast riser that got screwed by Nevin so I believe he probably has potential but just doesn't make much sense to take potential DC like that with no experience in a situation like Miami's, except he's probably a great recruiter and we do need talent, but it just doesn't seem ideal to take that chance right now.

I think this is more realistic than Hurtt coming in as the lone DC, especially if we aren’t hiring another DB’s coach

Im not going to lie.. this Hurtt as DC news has me shook. Massive dissapointment if he is the hire. We went from hot names such as Mason, Belk, and Schumman to a DL coach who although is a good DL coach and was a good recruiter in 2013 has never been considered a defensive mastermind.
