It used to be guys would jump to the NFL because of the money…with coaches making 8-10 million a year now and Co-ordinators making 1.5-2 million + there’s not as much reason to jump anymore.
In the NFL you’re pretty much being hired starting the clock as to when you’re gonna be fired cause there’s very few long tenured jobs in the NFL…
The difference is you no longer have to be glued to your phone having to talk to teenagers and can solely focus on coaching. To some that would be the biggest perk of the NFL.

i’m just here to point out the hypocrisy with you dorsey boys, and judging by the fact that you still can’t tell me the questions brady has that dorsey doesn’t, i’ve succeeded.

They've been asked and answered dozens of times. This isn't a thread about Brady > Dorsey or Dorsey > Brady. I think most people have acknowledged (many times) that both Brady and Dorsey would PREFER to stay in the NFL, although everyone knows that Dorsey's collegiate "hall pass" coaching job is UM.

Other than that, Brady and Dorsey are very comparable.

Quite honestly most are banned users trying to start a new account or forgotten passwords. There really aren't that many with duplicate accounts because they get shut down. But if you ever see an account called testandrewtest, it's Andrew.

Just my two cents on all of this.

I would love to have Coley on staff as a position coach. He’s worked with elite programs/coaches for a long time. He’s a monster recruiter and has a lot of value as a position coach besides being OC. I don’t understand why people keeping bringing up OC with Coley, he’s obviously not going to be calling plays so expressing some fake outrage that he might come in as the play caller is just strange.

I also want to keep Field in an on field position. IMO he’s proven to be a very good recruiter that will become elite on the level of Coley and T-Rob with the new staffing and resources Miami will have, along with having an ace recruiter as a head coach. Having both on staff is an elite haul. If that means putting Coley at TE and Field on ST and letting the analysts run the ST than fine. Field has a ton of value, a diverse resume and IMO will be scooped up quickly by another program if we move him back to an off field role. He’s proven himself and should remain on field.

A staff with Mario, Mirabal, McClendon, T-Rob, Coley and Field is as monstrous as it gets. That’s a staff that’s big game hunting and will compete with the SEC not only in Florida but in the state of Georgia and SEC country for recruiting. Their ability to recruit the local area will be far and away the best Miami has had since Butch.

Lastly, I think Briles and Dorsey are both very good options for OC/QB. You don’t have to pick sides to hopefully be right one day. Both are on paper good hires. Hopefully we land one of them. I don’t really want Hurtt but initially I wasn’t a fan of hiring Dorsey either and I’m leaving my mind open enough to maybe coming around to it.

WTF is your, problem, man?

By that I mean why do you only have 49 posts? Please post more. We need more rational, thoughtful and dead-on content like this here. Nailed it, from start to finish. Though if Mario can get Field to take an off-field position and stay, and that lets us bring another dog in, it would be an amazing maneuver.

The year is 2025. Mario is still on the verge of finalizing his OC and DC. Mirabal has shrunk 3 more inches, as he stands on the shoulders of Salvae'a during practice to bark out instructions and jumps down and kicks the shins of his linemen when they ***** up. Miami is on a 16-game home winning streak since incorporating the Haka as a pregame ritual. BMac and TRob have built a wall around South Florida and get anyone they please - it has gotten so boring that all they do is wait for UF or FSU assistants to show up to local high schools, snicker behind the bushes and record their feeble recruiting pitches. Feld's mustache has developed a mustache of its own, and has challenged The Mountain to a battle to the death. Mario is now a majority shareholder in Cafe Bustelo and he continues to ponder his coordinators, and there is a pastelito shortage in Coral Gables.
And the " Some names to watch before it’s deleted" thread is on page 9,769

First time I’ve glanced at Belk’s history. He’s from Valdosta GA and looks like he’s been a GA recruiter since he went on field. Would be big to get him and expand the recruiting map. Would also seem redundant hiring him and the guy from BC with T-Rob on staff.

He is considered a rising star in the coaching industry, he got a pay bump from Houston at the end of this season (I think 1 million) because of the interest from other teams.

I believe I read that he turned down overtures to be DC from Hedwig Napier at UF.

I have a question regarding all these “CO” listings that are being put on so many coaches..Weren’t they born out of some NCAA rule that said that if you were going to take a coach under contract from another team it had to be done with some kind of bump in title?

And this is when the “CO-“ listings started to be added to coaching titles so schools could say they were getting that bump.

I may be wrong but I swear I remember this being done by the NCAA some years back.

It's not an NCAA rule, but it might be something that allows contractual provisions to apply/not-apply when taking a "promotion" at another school. Also, it is a very valid thing with university payroll issues, thus allowing some people to be paid more than other people, with an articulable reason.
