so we should be getting the DL coach for sure now

Maybe they hired their guy because they couldn't get our guy. We're so used to getting leftovers, but I feel we are more in control now. I think Mario is waiting to name the whole coaching staff together (Feld not being an on-field coach, so the exception), and based on the smoke and recruits tagging coaches, I'd say we already have most of them confirmed. Just because we don't have an official announcement doesn't mean they're not hired already.

Not disputing what you're saying and agree completely with that approach. But for what it's worth, and I know it doesn't mean much given the source, but Ferman stated that *IF* Coley accepts a position here, he expects us to have 6 offensive coaches and 4 defensive coaches. Now, I'm not sure how prevalent that is across the CFB landscape but assumed, in that scenario, the offensive staff looks like:
  1. OC (TBD)
  2. Co-OC/WR (BMaC)
  3. OL/RGC (Mirabal)
  4. TE (Field)
  5. QB/AHC (Coley)
  6. RB (TBD)
Can only have 10 on field coaches. 5 per side.

No rule that says 5 per side.

But I don’t think you hire 6 on offense and 4 on defense, and I had a post on this a couple pages back.

That considered, plus Ferman saying it’ll be 6 & 4 makes me 100% convinced we’ll have more than 4 defensive coaches.

Mirabal is the Ahc.

Ferman will deny saying this when the staff is complete. He will pass it off as he was quoting another source. He seemingly changes all his predictions daily.

Not saying coley is coming here. But I laugh At you who try to act like he isn’t a good coach. Everywhere he’s been his position group has been successful and he’s an elite recruiter. He 100% would be an asset to any program

-Brad kaaya was successful when he was the oc/qb coach. Not to mention he recruited nfl prospects better than richt on offense…

Njoku
Gus edwards
Herndon
Travis homer
Walton
Braxton berrios
Tyree St. Louis
Cager
McDermott
Richards(career cut short

Developed a bevy of rb/receiver/tight ends at Miami .

- when he went to uga his receiver group was good

-then he switched to uga oc/qb coach and his offense was really good in the 2018 and 2019 season

-coached jalen wydermeyer the last 2 seasons who is one of the best tight ends in the country
