Got **** what takes Mario so long to make hires? Is he running government background checks or something?
He's got a vision on how the staff .. once finalized .. will mesh. Got to get the right guys. He is getting the big bucks .. let him do his job. Most important thing he can do is get the right team put together to kill it recruiting, then develop the recruits, and Win games.

But why can I not have my candy before dinner?

so what do people want? A goofy hire of a created position like Cb Coach for a guy like DVD who was giving program info to anyone who asked or do you want a real professional staff of savage national recruiters and talent developers?
No certainly not, would rather conduct proper interviews and go through an extensive hiring process. The issue comes about when many are saying the staff is done...so what's the hold up (starting today)? All the bowl games that are impactful in our apparent search are done; there's no one's feelings to hurt anymore. Starting today, there isn't a reason for a hold up...unless they're actually not done and are still going through the process. Which is sort of fine I guess, just taking a lot longer and you'd think a majority of the staff needs to be in place before the dead period ends.

Also, there seems to be this theory that Mario wants to announce the entire staff at the same time, which makes sense considering we haven't heard about a single official hire close to a month after his arrival as the HC in Miami (despite many supposed hires that just aren't official, like Mirabal, rest of Oregon staff, etc.). Not really sure why that's the case or what benefit it holds, but that seems to be the consensus.

I still think we hear something today, even if it's just the Oregon staff members.

Ferman just issued an "AM Update" on the T-Rob situation, but states that communications have "come and gone" and now UGA is reaching out to him. Ferman can't stop himself - he has no sources and simply makes nonsense to appear like he is has information.
He has to keep people thinking he has his finger on the pulse.

Well, Mirabal is tweeting using his UM football ID .. so that's pretty official.

The sad part is that there are people that are paying for his info.

I realize money can change minds but it has been reported he has told players and recruits he is staying here.

Face it .. so far NOBODY has had any in depth information regarding the OC or DC. Mario has kept these searches on lockdown.

With the Mario regime just starting, TRob is guaranteed to be here at a minimum of 5 years provided he does what he is known to do. That kind of stability is priceless. Plus, this is his city.

Coley would be a dummy not to come for that very same reason. The only rationale for him staying in that ****hole known as College Station is out of sheer loyalty to Jumbo, who took him back in and gave him a nice landing spot after his UGA OC debacle.

But maybe he's just as loyal to Cristobal who gave him his first collegiate OC shot when he was just an overpaid analyst with the Fins.

Biggest mistake I’ve made on this board in the last year is cutting over 3 weeks off bycane’s 4 week ban just to be nice for the New Year. Dude went and acted like a jerk all over the board. He can gtfoh for a good while and when he comes back he and I can pick up where we left off if he wants. In the meantime, if y’all want to know anything about Palm Beach area football, @JeddTheFisch knows a good deal.
