I posted Arkansas' offensive stats after you quoted, verbatim, that Miami would regret not hiring him if he wasn't the choice. He's a great young OC, but again, I wouldn't take him over Rhett (if he was still an option), especially after what he did with TVD this year.

The fairest criticism of Miami fans is that most are not fans of CFB. They pretty much just watch Miami play and the CFB Playoff games (maybe SEC ship as well). It's apparent by some of these takes.

I listened to Ferman's daily podcast this morning. FWIW, he and Shodell are saying they hear the OC & DC positions are still "wide open". They said that a current "head coach" threw his name in the hat for one of the coordinator positions just recently and that Mario is sorting through a number of choices. They are saying that many qualified people expressed interest in both coordinator positions - the thinking is the staff will start to come into focus in the next few days...
Ferman is also saying that there is no definite indication that Chud is taking a position anywhere on the staff.

The Oregon 247 board is still obsessed with Cristobal and what is going on here at Miami. There is much talk about the fact no staff has been announced; it seems that this is Mario's style. He takes a long time to fill staff positions. Apparently it made that fan base crazy, too. They are salty about everything.

Yesterday Flo said he knows the OC and DC. Hes known for 2 weeks but was told to shut up. He cant say anything until after its announced. I dont believe anything until it happens.

We are not overreacting. We are responding. You reacted by defending the first half because Arky was missing one player. I then responded by saying PSU is missing 6 starters on D and their DC so the missing "one" player is a poor excuse for the first half performance. I made that argument from the perspective of somebody who actually LIKES Briles and and hoping he becomes our next OC.

It's simple. If you can't understand that then obviously YOU are the one overreacting and I can't help you.

Penn State can replace starters with young backups because they stack talent. Arkansas cant replace them because they dont. Yes, its really that simple.

You forgot the "with Arkansas talent" part. Nobody should ever expect Arkansas to be great at anything. Last time they were decent was when Petrino was still in the better years of his career.

If we are waiting for a OC who is coacing today, hopefully its Kevin Wilson at OSU. Dude was the architect of one of the best Offenses in modern ball at Oklahoma in '08. What he did at indiana was impressive also, he is at Ohio St. now as OC but Day is the real OC and calls the plays. if we got blank check we could get him and he checks alot of boxes alot talk about here. He already flamed out as HC so we could keep him awhile, he has experience of running uptempo explosive offense, coached Heisman level QB, got guys like Gresham involved so his offense highlights TE. '08 team had TWO 1k rushers so he runs the ball. Maybe a pipe dream but yall told me we got money now so guys like this is what I would expect if Joe Brady and Lebby are off the table

Every time I hear the word “elite” I cringe. The worst time I heard it was in a Brevin Jordan interview referring to Tate Martell as “elite!”

I'm not opposed to Kendall Briles. But I don't think he's a homerun hire and be comes with some risk

But if he's so good, why's he at Arkansas? And been there 2 years. Why hasn't a better P5 team scooped him up yet? He's basically at one of the lowest tier P5 schools in the country. His only "big boy" job was at FSU under Taggart and we know how that turned out.

Do you really consider Arkansas one of the lowest P5 schools in the country??? If so what would you consider us?

Why? I'm not comparing Arkansas to Penn State. You made the comment insinuating that Briles was outperforming relative to the talent on the roster. I posted that they've outrecruited relative to their performance the past 4 years. Again, just take the L and move on
