The first name that came to my mind was Greg Schiano at Buttgers, as DC of course.

Now, I’m not saying I advocate that, I’m just saying that’s what came to mind.

Of course we don’t even know if this rumor about HCs wanting coordinator positions is true though.

This is just illogical. He makes $4 million a year and the Rutgers program is improving under him.

@Liberty City El or @Cribby whats the reason trob wanted to leave or than manny was a sinking ship?
Because he & Manny didn’t get along & Manny was getting fired.

So when your HC is getting fired, you normally want to look for another job because you have a family to take care of & bills to pay & most of the time the new incoming coach isn’t going to stick with too many coaches from the fired staff he’s replacing.

But in TRob’s case, he’s one of the best DB recruiters in the business & it’s a no brainer to keep him on staff if you’re a coach like Mario that places a high premium on recruiting.

I listened to Ferman's daily podcast this morning. FWIW, he and Shodell are saying they hear the OC & DC positions are still "wide open". They said that a current "head coach" threw his name in the hat for one of the coordinator positions just recently and that Mario is sorting through a number of choices. They are saying that many qualified people expressed interest in both coordinator positions - the thinking is the staff will start to come into focus in the next few days...
Ferman is also saying that there is no definite indication that Chud is taking a position anywhere on the staff.

The Oregon 247 board is still obsessed with Cristobal and what is going on here at Miami. There is much talk about the fact no staff has been announced; it seems that this is Mario's style. He takes a long time to fill staff positions. Apparently it made that fan base crazy, too. They are salty about everything.
So Lane Kiffin for OC is what you’re saying.

I don’t know & I’m not saying it has or will happen.

My comment was in response to the comment that was speculating what HC would leave their HC job to come be a coordinator for Mario & the most logical answer would be his former OC.

Do I believe that’s going to happen? No. Did I say it was going to happen? No.

I simply listed his name, that’s it, that’s all.

If it is a hc it’s likely from a small program not a power 5

Yeah probably, I can’t buy anyone would take a step down like that, but I don’t believe all this other stuff that’s coming out from other sites and the pay sites. They’ve been pretty much wrong the whole way
