And risk to lose him after a week because McVay or O’Connell come calling him? No, thanks.

This is where hiring a coordinator is challenging for Mario. He wants the best. If they’re too good, he runs the risk of an nfl team scooping them up. He has to strike a balance between hiring someone who is good enough to last here 2 years and if they are very good, it’s very difficult.

It's great that people post things like this on twitter so at least it gets out there, but it won't ever truly get discussed or anything done about it until it's said to their face on national TV. This should have been the interviewer's response not some no name on Twitter. I'm so ******* sick of the networks just turning a blind eye. For what? Jimbo won't come on next time? Who cares

Exactly and, even if I understand the impatience, I’d rather have it like this than risk to lose a coordinator because the carousel is still spinning.

We have to understand that we are not going after the Louisiana Tech LB coach or promoting some GAs anymore.

It’s big boy time now.

But Patke was sooo close to breaking through with the Linebackers and recruiting

It ain't got nothing to do with being from La Tech, you could be from anywhere and be a beast at your job or even competent

Unfortunately, television personalities and “journalists” are some of the biggest sellout, useful idiots in our society.

Jimbo’s like the yoked guy in the gym who swears he doesn’t take steroids but everyone knows he’s been cycling for years.

No one’s even saying it’s wrong, he’s just getting defensive about it because he wants you to think he did it all without some extra help.

It’s impressive either way, but his insecurity speaks volumes.

The jokes on him when he still doesn’t get to the playoffs and has bacne and shrunken nuts

saban just did the same.

Then Mario is an idiot if he actually said that.
it makes total sense to me. what team where you watching last year? offense gets off the field too quickly either by scoring too fast or three and out and the defense ends up gassed. hey it should be no secret that we will be running the ball next year. you can still have a power running game with spread concepts. (see Arkansas' offense)

You guys feel free to follow whatever you want. But the reasons this has gone on so long is because of how many spots were being moved between college and NFL and most of the people we had agreements with were either already in the NFL or had a choice of most spots in college with select NFL options... I get it makes more sense for everyone to simply talk **** cause that's what people do one here. But it wasn't Mario that was dragging his feet AFTER the first two weeks.
This was very apparent and true, I have no idea how people on here couldn't figure that out. There was a ton of college and NFL movement and openings and as soon as it quieted down a bit, boom several more popped open. Even if he nabbed someone early on, they could have left after a nfl team came calling. Liam Coen is even been rumored to be heading up to the NFL today so people are still moving around.

There’s no such thing as scoring too quickly outside of trying to run the clock out at the end.
