Making McClendon an OC to keep him would’ve been a huge mistake.

Expecting us to keep him if Georgia wants him is just unrealistic. Do any of you have a clue? We ain’t that good yet. Unrealistic expectations here.
Sorry, didn’t realize it was unrealistic of me to think Mario could have a staff put together at this point with a supposed unlimited amount of money.

Look at the bright side, being offseason champs has never worked out for us

Truth be told that's why I was never as belligerent to the folks who wanted Lane. You can debate whether Mario is the better coach but you can't debate that offense would be set. The push would be for defensive staff only. Mario has to fill both with talent.

Like I was saying earlier Mario hasn't had to deal with the big Dawgs while up there at Oregon. He's learning first hand how this program stacks against the best of them

So, counter offer to Jason Candle as OC/QB and Kevin Beard as WR Coach? Heck, who else on Toledo he could bring?? Especially if he is worried about them and job security.

Cribby, this is real question. Does Mario have a reputation as being difficult to work for? From my experience as a manager in the business world, anytime you see turnover like this and an unwillingness to commit from perspective hires, it is a huge red flag. I begin to wonder. This process and lack of coordinator hires and now a guy that he hired a month ago is bailing on him. This is starting to seem a bit odd to me.
I’m almost certain at this point that this is an issue. Few can match that energy or drive.

Man do we even have any leads as to wtf is going on behind closed doors? Because honestly it's really starting to look like a **** show from the outside.
