Very insightful take. One that can be taken seriously.Ok so here is my one serious porst of the day, purely as an armchair non insider.
Brady has always been option A, duh. The interest was mutual but naturally knowing he got a raw deal from Rhule and is supremely talented he let Mario know his goal obviously was stay in the league. Both parties agreed to get through the NFL carousel. Brady clearly knew the candidates that would be interviewing for jobs and knew which staffs he would most likely be asked to join. Quinn was one of the guys super high on Brady as others were as well. But notice since Quinn didn’t get the Bears job and has decided to stay in Dallas the Brady to Miami rumors began trickling in again. Also most of the dust is beginning to settle with all of the openings.
Making sure he wasn’t left at the alter, Mario clearly had options B-Z mapped out. Candle, Ponce, Coen, etc.. Discussions have been had but I don’t feel like firm offers have been made.
As for DC, I agree with others on the board that it is done. My hope is that the announcement will be made this weekend. It would line up with the huge visitor weekend. Everything since Mario got here has been larger than life and has had big production value like EPD. What better way to announce that than to have the DC show up this weekend. My guess would be Belk as well.
Again I could be wrong as I’m no expert but that’s how I’ve interpreted it.

If we’re gonna wait all this time for a NFL guy, we should offer Mike Kafka or Joe Bleymaier $1.8-2mill.
Even if for one season, running the Chiefs Offense with our personnel would be deadly.
Brady prolly does wanna stay in the nfl. If he didn’t, he’d be hired already here. He may not get a chance to stay in the league thoPeople saying "Brady wants to stay in the NFL" just reminds me of people back in December saying "Radakovich would never go to Miami .. it is a step down .. same with Cristobal .. why would he leave all he has built at Oregon". Miami gives Brady a high profile program, with an outstanding QB that has already put up gaudy yardage numbers, to do his magic once again. One season .. maybe two .. and he is back in the NFL as an OC again .. or a HC at a power 5 program. Miami gives him the opportunity to put up "2019 type LSU numbers" and become "the offensive guru" once again.
OMG. There would be extinction event rioting in Miami. The civilized world would collapse from cataclysmic moping, unseen like anything in humankind history. We talking distabilize governments. Collapse of global monetary system. We talking about Mad Max battle dome battles to the death for an under cook pasteles. Madness in the Street. You been forewarned...
He does wanna stay in the NFL, but if he doesn’t get a good offer Miami is the best option for him from a financial standpoint.People saying "Brady wants to stay in the NFL" just reminds me of people back in December saying "Radakovich would never go to Miami .. it is a step down .. same with Cristobal .. why would he leave all he has built at Oregon". If Joe Brady comes to Miami it’s not because he turned down being a NFL OC, it’s because he’s trying to rebuild his brand as a play caller after being scapegoated by Rhule in Carolina.
Regardless of the circumstances, bring him here because he’d be a Gradnslam hire.

I don’t think that offense would work here, but I’m also a firm believer in people learning the hard way lol.Funny thing is, UK’s offense was probably too run heavy for my taste but that was the best move considering the personnel on hand. If they tried to make that QB throw the ball 30 times a game, they’d have gone 0-12
I wanna stay in the NFL too. But unfortunately, I was fired and nobody is interviewing me and offering me two million American dollars per season to coach, so I guess I’ll have to go to Miami.
