This. The whole state income tax stuff is weird to me. When you’re making 500k+, that’s just noise.
It can make a significant difference in what you actually take home. Especially in states that have graduated-rate income taxes. In a state like Georgia, the highest bracket is only 5.75% and that's for pretty much everyone making more than $7000 a year. But Iowa, for example bumps everyone making over $75k to 8.5%. Minnesota is almost 10% for anyone making over $160k. Don't even get me started on California or Hawaii.

If we're talking about a 10% or more of your paycheck going to taxes or staying in your pocket, it's a big deal.

What’s the funniest thing about the sign stealing stuff was some Yankee fans on here crying like they’d been harmed by this , and I was like be careful friends. Because they were another team that was part of the rumors who did this at a very high level. Which all teams do. Beltran brought the Yankees way of doing things fo Houston. When he saw their way of stealing signs he laughed and mocked them for being so far ahead of the times.

Everyone in sports is cheating or trying to cheat , it’s not just the Pats , Astros , Yankees , Red Sox , Alabama or UGA. Anytime there’s high stakes and big money involved people are cheating. Some are juat better at it than others.
The best thing about this post is what it doesen't say. It has absolutely nothing to do with football. Nada. You gotta read between the lines, folks. It's all there if we look hard enough.

It is like Cribby is trying to tell us "relax, Mario has got this and we will be happy. Stop getting your panties in a bunch." He is intentionally avoiding the discussion on BMac, coordinators, etc.

I see you Cribster.

Now, it could just mean that he is tired like many of us and simply wants to talk baseball. But, I am a hopeless romantic and can see what he is really trying to do here.

Why are there posts discussing living in Georgia vs. Florida? Based on 1 poster saying McClendon's wife didn't like living here? Is that substantiated at all? Even assuming it is true, how exactly did the wife supposedly make this determination after being down here for all of what, a month, if that?

But, anyways, carry on to 2000 pages!
That is supposedly why he did not come with Richt from UGA the first time. Not sure if true or not but I doubt it is the reason now. The guy is one of the best WR coaches and recruiters in college football. We were his only option. At the very least he likely could have stayed at Oregon and coached under Lanning. So if you don't want to live in Miami and your husband has multiple options for his next job I doubt you would take the Miami job to start with. He may leave for UGA but doubt his wife not wanting to live in Miami will be the deciding factor.

If you don’t like living in Miami, the gables, or the grove with a salary like these guys rake in, they’re truly doing something wrong. Yes traffic sucks, even the language barrier can be a struggle sometimes. But the overall quality of living with that salary is unmatched across the united states. Especially for a spouse

hence why so many rich people move here for at least part of the year.

It depends on the lifestyle the coach wants. Some have families, and others are single guys looking to mingle. Some like city life and others prefer the rinky dink college towns. I get it either way, but leaving after a couple of weeks is bull.

Yup. And bottom line, put aside any discussion of small town vs. big city, income taxes, people, traffic, standard of living, etc. . . . if you make money in Miami, Miami is a **** great place to be, particularly if you're young. I have no idea his age or his wife's (or even whether he's in fact married!) but this is a fun place to be if you have discretionary income.

/I suckered myself into talking about Georgia vs. Florida!
