Will go down as the best pure hitter of this generation. One of the best I’ve ever seen, period.

All we have is the actual stats and footage. Papi saved our lives to an unreal level. I’ve never seen anything like him in the post season. It got to be like a video game or unrealistic. I’m as big of a Bonds guy as you’ll find but he was no Papi when the chips were on the table. Theres no denying that
Bernie Williams was clutch as they come in the playoffs. Papi was frustrating to play against as a Yankee. I couldn’t tell you how many times I was screaming at my tv to not make the next pitch in x location. Sure enough, they did and would break my heart. They tested him so many times and he would continuously make them pay. Frustrating from my side.

The 2004 playoff run had me super emotional lol. I never thought anything could top my cane memories but that 0-3 comeback had me tearing up like a baby. The most unlikely of teams ended the torture and opened Pandora's box to championships lol. It was like a movie playing out in real time , the games were marathons that left you a wreck , totally exhausted. Then mix in how y'all beat us the year before , in the most Bos / NY way possible.
