From State of the U article on Ponce:

Would Ponce be the big name that Miami fans are expecting? Absolutely not. Pulling an OC from the Sun Belt isn’t exactly a big deal. But does Ponce run an offense that Tyler Van Dyke would excel in? Yes. Does Ponce have South Florida recruiting connections? Yes. Is Cristobal familiar with Ponce so the trust-factor is already there? Yes.

Most important question.....would Sid the Kid off himself if I waited 2 **** months for Ponce...**** Yes.

We can all agree this thread contains zero information, potentially less than zero if you count the 40 pages of wrestling discussion. Think of it this way: The thread has at least 2M views. Let's just say each person spends about a minute each time they view the thread. That means this thread has cost our society 1,388 days of productivity. It is an abomination against human beings and god himself.

He hates DT that much he wouldn’t even play it on 3rd downs? **** lol
His take on the subject seems borderline irrational. Look at a guy like Greg Rousseau. He is a DE all the way but sometimes you are going to move your players around for the schematic advantage it can give you(Think players not positions). Greg played that role in 3rd and long where he lined up as the interior lineman in Baker's 3 man front in that situation. I hated using Rousseau that way but my point is that as a player you have to be flexible in terms of how you might be used in certain situations. Rousseau was a 1st round pick so Baker's idiocy clearly didn't hinder his draft stock.

I personally feel that Shemar can play DE in a 4 man front but think he would be better suited to 3 Tech given his size, strength and explosion. Shemar has to realize that most DCs will want to move him inside on passing downs or at least on 3rd and long situations.

There is a quote from his coach that says, “he is one recruit, doubt it matters to much” he wouldn’t say that if he had a clue who was coming in. It will be costly not having a DC in by the weekend. But this all on Mario time. lol
True. Look I'm a big supporter of Mario and think he will do very well here but there is a difference between being thorough and being completely ridiculous. This situation is firmly in the later category.

F' this, all this new money, we should be buying our coordinators by the pound;

Charlie Weis Sr.
Mark Mangino

We'd have the heaviest coaching staff in the country. Sure maybe Charlie isn't half the coach Kliff Kingsbury is, but if he's triple the weight he only has to 1/3 as good.

Who says no?
