Blades didn't look good in those clips, please no over react I said "those clips".

Just seen the Orlando clips, Nick Roberts looked really good.

- Everybody knows the 2018 class is stacked at CB. The most underrated guy in the group might be Trenell Troutman of Northwestern. He got right in Jeudy's face and won the majority of their battles.

These are the types of guys I want.
"the best receiver in the country?"...BRING IT!!

He goes to STA name the last player on offense for STA that put up big numbers. that is why a kid like Philip Dorsett was a 3 star but future first rounder
 
I thought Blades did fine, but Grimes is on another level. Sheesh.

The intriguing kid was Lashawn Paulino. Big kid and 247 lists him as a DE yet he's doing WR drills. Impressive.
 
I saw Trevon Grimes at Rocco's camp the summer before he enrolled at STA. He was an obvious star then, but he's come a long way.

Everytime I watch Roberts I think he could definitely be a player at Miami, he's so scrappy and just by watching him you can tell he isn't afraid of a single receiver.

I wrote about Paulino in my local DE breakdown. He also plays LB. He just transferred to STA and is a potential breakout player.

You can't really tell anything from those videos.

The WR's are running improvised routes that they adjust on the fly.
The CB's are using god awful press technique. Trying to maul WR's just to impress their peers.
The CB's are playing off-man with no help underneath.

Bandy was my favorite CB in that video though. Reminds me of Dowels when he was in high school. Pesky. Just shadows his WR everywhere he goes.

Grimes just works everybody that covers him. He keeps it simple, no goofy *** improvised double moves, just crisp routes.

You can actually learn a lot. You just have to know what you're looking for. Tells a lot about a receivers footwork, technique, high pointing skills, route running ability, and just their route tree in general, you'd be surprised how many of these kids don't know how to run proper routes. Also really good for seeing if a receiver can adjust his route to the coverage, some receivers have no idea to how to move the DB where they want them, although sometimes you are right with the improvised routes. On the DB side it shows hip fluidity, recovery speed, and route reading abilities. Really just have to look for what would relate to game day. Obviously things like press coverage, and game speed would differ with pads on, so you look at more of the technical and mental side, than the physical.

And ya I agree with you on Grimes. Keeping it simple is always your best bit, you only use a move when you are set up for it. You can really see a lot of kids don't really know when or how to use certain moves, they just throw them in their routes with no actual purpose.

got **** he looks exactly like Asante...Humble brag...(Asante Samuel was my host on visit at UCF as a hs player)

Trenell Troutman looked legit...love it...looks plays like an old school NW kid.
- Blades is leggy as ****..has the tools as a cb didn tlook bad..
-Marlin Brooks...is Nate the great former canes' son...he needs to get his weight up..but he might be a div 1 prospect
-Fuller got into Ali..Fuller is a 6'3 cb from Boyd Anderson...maybe someone to look at down the road

-Jeudy has elite burst....
-Grimes has been doing that the last two years..he was sta's deep ball threat...he just knows how to run those go routes and his height, stride is a problem for cbs.
-Bandy has nice feet looks like a nickel cb...Oklahoma might have got a steal
-Clevan Thomas is Cookie Thomas former fsu player son.

Alot of legacy kids in this class

--Lashawn Pailino is athletic as all ****...thats a de out there...hes looking like Joseph Jackson from last class

* Marquis Williams is/was the best db from the supposed "Creek Boyz"...Mullen the high rated army all american or the kid we dsigned werent the guy facing the other teams best...it was Marquis Williams..

your from down here...this one on one crap has annoyed me since iw as in high school in the early 2000's.

Its done like daily by these high school/middle school kids and majority of the time it makes no sense... Oh i mossed you..on a 10 second route where they ran a hitch...slant and a go. lmao...Oh i jammed that boy up.....**** near tackling at the line of scrimmage is b.s... Except Asante Samuels was text book..the wr trying to come off the line gave up his chest and thats was all she wrote.

Alot of these dbs had bad technique..you can tell the ones who are getting good coaching....
Most of these kids go to the weekend camps and go against each other EVERY WEEKEND....which is where the brand new aau football culture has begun in s.fla...any weekend you can go out and film these kids at betty t ferguson sports center in Carol City..or at the Premier Athletes Camp somewhere in broward..and their "friendly" and recruiting each other.

Boyd Anderson is loaded in the secondary this year. Fuller and Nesbitt have a lot of upside because of their size.

The guy I really like at BA is Rennard Bozeman. South Carolina just offered and I think he's definitely an SEC-caliber player.
