I'll never forget how frustrated everyone was after the GTech loss in the Orange Bowl in 2005. Some dude with two younger kids (maybe 9 and 7, or so) comes down a few rows in the WEZ. His goal? To yell and curse at as many players as possible. I first calmly said something to him. He jumped up to be a tough guy in front of his kids. In natural Miami fashion, started walking over, chest way out, chin way up, hands down. I'm glad I didn't go to jail that day. Ended up just being escorted away. In hindsight, I guess I should have just stayed out of it, but that stuff bothers me.
Never understood the point of railing on players or, worse, cursing at them, etc. Anyone can discuss a player's strengths, weaknesses and how those relate to us winning or losing. Still, I've always thought the primary weight of the "blame" and "frustration" should be pointed at the coaches. It's literally their profession to pick good prospects, make football players better as a team and individually. They're getting paid large sums of money. And, they're men. Many of them are 40!
