For nowCommitted to FSU.
Might as well use some of that leftover unused recruiting budget from KJ Bolden.Wonder how much they paid him to commit
And they’ll still miss NIL paymentsMight as well use some of that leftover unused recruiting budget from KJ Bolden.
And Jeremiah Smith
And Armando Blount
They should have plenty left over...
And Mario!FSU fanboy thinks they’re getting everyone. Ill take Miami here. We have the OL whisperer.
Was thinking the same. FSU needs some good press right nowCan’t blame the kid. It was probably an opportunity to score an easy 15k. I hope he strings FSU along and collect another 100k from them

It isn't so much that resources allocated elsewhere. It's the reality of not getting 5-star OTs to sit behind 2023 5-star OTs. A smart move by Mario bringing in developmentL guys with high ceilings that can wait 2-3 years to get onto the field.I think we had to allocate the resources elsewhere in 2023 but Mario is gonna be back on the OL hard this class
I wonder if FSU's gameplan is to continue to pay 25 kids each week they stay committed just like they did for the 24 cycle?
Goes hand in hand yesIt isn't so much that resources allocated elsewhere. It's the reality of not getting 5-star OTs to sit behind 2023 5-star OTs. A smart move by Mario bringing in developmentL guys with high ceilings that can wait 2-3 years to get onto the field.
Look to recruit top blue chips OL ever other year. Top OL can get into the rotation as freshman behind 3rd year starters like Francis who will declare for the NFL after year 3.

It makes perfect sense because top recruits like Francis and Pancake are not going to sit 2 years waiting to get on the field with a 5-star starter in front of them. Those days are over for everyone at OL!!! You think Pancake would be in Miami if they told him he wouldn't be a starter until his junior year? NO. Other positions can stack high end blue chip talent because they rotate so much. 5-star players expect playing time right away. They see the field in year 1 and become a starter by year 2. They want to enter the NFL draft after year 3. So, being a 3rd year starter is not whst these guys are looking for.I don’t have any insiders but I doubt that’s what the staff is doing. Recruit top OL every other year? That doesn’t makes sense.

The staff knows this. They went for a few top end OL this cycle and they didn't even visit because they know whose in front of them. Trying to stack blue chip OL is difficult. Those guys will portal out after a year and you will have wasted your money on acquisition and now have a need to fill. Getting high ceiling OL is the smart move to supplement 5-star talent. They will develop into productive players by year 3 and may develop into a draftable gems.
