Soflo kids

Then on they flip side, you have a kid like Demetrius Jackson who's from Overtown (like me), one of the roughest neighborhoods in the country, who stayed home to build the community and not abandon it, he stayed to make a difference in Overtown.

I understand some kids want to get out, but some like Demetrius want to help and build to make it better. I respect that kid.
Me too I have more respect for demetrius than almost any football player for all the stuff he has been through and he stuck through with Miami. And yes there are kids like him . I made the thread for people to think on why kids don't come here besides bags

I remember this came up with duke Williams at auburn. Kid was from bad area in Louisiana and had to leave. Followed him to auburn tho and he got in trouble still. It’s all about you a solid a person and how you apply yourself IN SOME SCENARIOS. For other situations it is different. Depends on the kid and what his parents want for him. Look at Cornelius nunn. His parents wanted him out

I got you bruh. Salute.

When we have a solid program run by a good coach that puts kids in a position to succeed, they’ll come amd be excited tl play in front of family and friends. When we don’t, they wont come and excuse mongers will blame the kids, the facilities, and money bags.

I am from down here and just got out of high school a couple years ago so I know what I am saying. When you grow up down here and live in certain areas all you are told your whole life is to get out of here as soon as you have a chance and with these kids some of the things they see only makes them want to even more. That's why you see a good majority of kids from here leave when they get a good chance. Just a thought for you guys. This is not the case for every kid but from what I have dealt with it's a good amount

Couldn't agree more...unlike FSU and UF we have to give the kids in our backyard a reason to stay home.
